Bangladesh Agricultural University was founded on August 18, 1961 with a view to providing the ever increasing population of this country with food and nutrition at the very beginning of green revolution worldwide and since then it is sailing forwarded fulfilling its mission of equipping learners with higher studies, research and expansion in agricultural education. Since its inception this university has played a vital role in poverty alleviation, achieving the security of food and nutrition and developing agro-based rural economy of our motherland through practice of modern agricultural science and invention of updated technology. It has already gained both national and international acclamation by accepting the challenge of taking the agricultural development to its zenith in this free competitive world. Till today it has produce about 36,833 skilled agriculture graduates of global standard. With its reign of success, this oldest university of higher agricultural education and research is standing tall in the path of glory and pride and today it has marched past 50 years. BAU Alumni Association is aimed at bringing all its graduates in a single platform which will help contribute further development of agriculture sector of Bangladesh.
