কোরবানির ঈদের আনন্দ হোক পরিচ্ছন্ন ও সচেতনতার সাথে!

কোরবানির পর নির্দিষ্ট স্থানে বর্জ্য ফেলা, দ্রুত পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্ন করা এবং আশেপাশের পরিবেশ পরিষ্কার রাখা আমাদের সবার দায়িত্ব।

Once upon a time, Eid in Dhaka meant more than just new clothes and family gatherings, it was also about community celebrations at lively Eid fairs. Families, friends, and children would gather in open fields to enjoy rides, games, and festive moments together.

This historic photograph, taken by James Burke in 1954, captures children enjoying a traditional Chorki ride at one such Eid fair in Old Dhaka, a beautiful glimpse into the spirit of Eid from another time.

একদিনের জন্য বদলে গিয়েছিল অফিসের চেনা দৃশ্য। যারা প্রতিদিন নীরবে অফিসকে সচল রাখেন, সেদিন তাদের দায়িত্ব কাঁধে তুলে নিয়েছিলাম আমরা।

অফিসের নানা দায়িত্ব সামলে আমাদের কর্মপরিবেশকে কর্মক্ষম রাখেন যারা, সেই অফিস সহায়ক কর্মীদের জন্য আয়োজন করা হয়েছিল একটি বিশেষ প্রশিক্ষণ সেশন। প্রশিক্ষণের সময়টিতে তাদের নিয়মিত দায়িত্ব থেকে বিরতি দেওয়া হয়, আর অফিসের অন্যান্য সহকর্মীরা মিলে নিজেদের মধ্যে ভাগাভাগি করে নিয়েছিলাম তাদের প্রতিদিনের কাজগুলো।

কেউ রান্না করেছে, কেউ পরিষ্কার-পরিচ্ছন্নতার দায়িত্ব নিয়েছে, কেউ অতিথি আপ্যায়ন, আবার কেউ নিরাপত্তা ও অন্যান্য অফিস পরিচালনার কাজ সামলেছে। আর এই কাজগুলো করতে গিয়েই আমরা আরও গভীরভাবে বুঝতে পেরেছি, প্রতিদিনের অফিস পরিচালনায় তাদের ভূমিকা কতটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ, আর তাদের ছাড়া একটি দিন পরিচালনা করাও কতটা চ্যালেঞ্জিং।

এই প্রশিক্ষণের মূল উদ্দেশ্য ছিল তাদের দৈনন্দিন কাজগুলোকে আরও সহজ, কার্যকর ও ইমপ্যাক্টফুলভাবে সম্পন্ন করার বিষয়ে দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি করা। অফিস পরিচালনায় তাদের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা আরও সুসংগঠিত ও দক্ষ করে তুলতেই এই উদ্যোগ গ্রহণ করা হয়। প্রশিক্ষণটি পরিচালনা করেন আবু মুহাম্মাদ শিহাব, যিনি Organization Development, Emergency Response, Disability Inclusion এবং Governance বিষয়ে অভিজ্ঞ একজন বিশেষজ্ঞ।

এই উদ্যোগের মাধ্যমে আমরা শুধু একটি প্রশিক্ষণই আয়োজন করিনি, বরং পারস্পরিক সম্মান, সহমর্মিতা এবং দলগত কাজের একটি অসাধারণ অভিজ্ঞতার মধ্য দিয়ে গিয়েছি।

The familiar rhythm of the office looked completely different for a day. Those who quietly keep the office running every day had their responsibilities temporarily taken over by the rest of us.

A special training session was organized for the office support staff who consistently ensure the smooth functioning of our workplace. During this time, they were given a break from their routine duties, while other colleagues collectively took over their daily responsibilities among themselves.

Some took charge of cooking, some handled cleaning duties, some managed guest reception, while others took responsibility for security and various operational tasks. Through this experience, we gained a deeper understanding of how vital their role is in the day-to-day functioning of the office, and how challenging it would be to run even a single day without them.
The main objective of this training was to enhance their skills to perform daily tasks in a more efficient, effective, and impactful way. The initiative aimed to further strengthen and streamline their important role in office operations. The training was facilitated by Abu Muhammad Shihab, an expert in Organization Development, Emergency Response, Disability Inclusion, and Governance.

Through this initiative, we not only conducted a training session but also experienced a meaningful exercise in mutual respect, empathy, and teamwork.

As AI continues to reshape professional workspaces, understanding its effective and ethical use is no longer optional it is becoming an essential skill across sectors. Today, we successfully hosted a high-energy session on “AI Efficiency in Writing: Use & Ethics” led by Syed Aminur Rahman, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in training & capacity building, TVET, education programme design, and language instruction. His expertise spans AI-enabled writing and workflow optimization, project management, youth skills development, and the ethical integration of AI tools in research, reporting, training materials, and policy documentation.

The workshop moved beyond simple drafting, focusing on the TRACE verification protocol and the Shell Method for data anonymization to ensure integrity, originality, and privacy. Participants engaged in hands-on practice, learning to address AI hallucinations while mastering audience-focused prompting and workflow optimization techniques tailored for the development sector.

The session was highly interactive, engaging, and practical, providing valuable insights into responsible AI-assisted writing and productivity.

dRi was wrapped in the colors of Baishakh, filled with laughter and a quiet warmth of togetherness. Thoughtful touches of decoration turned the space into a little canvas of celebration. Between conversations, shared moments, and a spread of food, time flowed effortlessly. With everyone, including our field researchers, the day became a gentle, memorable gathering.

ডিআরআই-তে সবার অংশগ্রহণে আনন্দঘন পরিবেশে বৈশাখ উদযাপন করা হয়েছে। উৎসবের সাজসজ্জায় পুরো পরিবেশটি ছিল প্রাণবন্ত ও আকর্ষণীয়। আড্ডা, হাসি আর নানা রকম খাবারের স্বাদে সময়টা কেটেছে আনন্দে। সহকর্মীদের সাথে, ফিল্ড রিসার্চারদের উপস্থিতিতে, পুরো আয়োজনটা ছিল এক আন্তরিক ও আনন্দঘন মিলনমেলা।

As we look back on our journey, yesterday gave us the chance to pause, celebrate, and reconnect through shared stories, good food, games, and laughter. dRi’s anniversary celebration was not just about marking another year, but about honoring the people and experiences that shaped us. Moments like these remind us that behind every project and deadline, there’s a team that grows, learns, and enjoys the journey together.
