আমার ব্যক্তিগত ও আমাদের প্রতিষ্ঠানের জন্য তিনি ছিলেন অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ একজন মানুষ। Centre for Building Design আজ যে অবস্থানে এসেছে তার পেছনে তাঁর অবদান আমরা কৃতজ্ঞতার সাথে স্মরণ করি।

তাঁর এই আকস্মিক প্রস্থানে আমরা গভীরভাবে শোকাহত।

মহান আল্লাহ তাঁকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস নসিব করুন এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারকে এই শোক সহ্য করার তৌফিক দান করুন। আমিন।

🏡 Universal Accessible Home | Academic Design Project

This academic project explores a universally accessible home for the elderly in a rural context, focusing on dignity, independence, and tranquility.
The design integrates barrier-free planning, gentle ramps, grab rails, clutter-free interiors, and nature-inspired spaces to ensure safety, comfort, and calm living for aging users.

✨ Key design intentions:
• Universal accessibility & ergonomic planning
• Minimalist interiors with natural light
• Safe circulation for wheelchair users
• Strong indoor–outdoor connection
• Rural context sensitivity & simplicity

ক্লায়েন্ট কাজ দেওয়ার সময় শুধু একটা কথাই বলেছিলেন,
“বাজেট ওপেন, কিন্তু ডিজাইনটা ইউনিক হতে হবে।”

ওপেন বাজেট মানেই প্রেসার থাকে,
কারণ প্রিমিয়াম কাজ তো আমি এমনিতেই করি।
এবার বাড়তি চ্যালেঞ্জ ছিল—ইউনিকনেস।

আমি ভাবলাম,
নতুন একটা ক্যাবিনেট ডিজাইন করলেই তো হবে না,
কারণ ডিজাইন কপি হয়ে যাওয়া আমি বহুবার ভিক্টিম হয়ে দেখেছি।

তাই সিদ্ধান্ত নিলাম—
এমন ইউনিকনেস যোগ করবো,
যেটা আমি নিজেও চাইলে আরেকবার করতে পারবো না।

এখানেই আসে ফ্লোর মার্বেলের গল্প।
আমি এমন একটা মার্বেল ব্লক বেছে নিলাম,
যার কর্নারের দিকে হালকা ডায়াগোনাল টেক্সচার আছে।
নরমালি এই ধরনের মার্বেল একা লাগালে দেখতে ভালো লাগে না—
আমার কাছেও না।

কিন্তু টুইস্টটা দিলাম এখানে—
পুরো ২৫,০০০ SFT প্রজেক্টে বুকম্যাচ করে মার্বেল বসালাম।
ফ্লোর নিজেই হয়ে উঠলো একটা আর্ট পিস।

আর ক্যাবিনেটে যোগ করলাম একটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ফাংশনাল বিষয়—
Fingerprint Lock.
ড্রেস চেঞ্জ করার সময় চাবি রাখবেন কোথায়?
এখানে চাবিরই দরকার নেই।

এর সাথে ক্যাবিনেটের ভেতরে ব্যবহারকারীর জন্য রাখা হয়েছে
পার্সনালাইজড কাস্টম ডিটেইলস—
যেটা শুধু সুন্দর না,
ব্যবহারকারীর অভ্যাস অনুযায়ী পরিকল্পিত।

ডিজাইন তখনই ইউনিক হয়,
যখন সেটা শুধু চোখে পড়ে না—
ব্যবহার করার সময়ও অনুভব করা যায়।

আমি গল্প বানাই—স্পেস দিয়ে।

আমরা বিশ্বাস করি, একজন সফল ডিজাইনার হতে হলে শুধু থিওরি নয়, প্রয়োজন মাঠ পর্যায়ের অভিজ্ঞতা।
