BOGSOA is an association for oceangoing shipowners. It was founded in 1989 and its head office is in Dhaka, Bangladesh. BOGSOA's current chairman in Mr.

BOGSOA currently stands as a prime affiliation for ship owners mainly to take all the shipowners companies to a higher standard. Azam J Chowdhury. Presently there are 26 shipping companies in Bangladesh and the total number of registered ships (as per the MERCANTILE Marine Dept. of shipping in BD) are 67 in those companies and as of today there are 12 shipowners who are members of BOGSOA.
