অন্তর্বর্তী সরকারের প্রধান উপদেষ্টা অধ্যাপক ড. মুহাম্মদ ইউনূস ও জাতিসংঘের মহাসচিব আন্তোনিও গুতেরেস প্রায় এক লাখ রোহিঙ্গা শরণার্থীর সঙ্গে ইফতার করেছেন। আজ শুক্রবার (১৪ মার্চ) সন্ধ্যায় ৬টার দিকে কক্সবাজারের উখিয়ায় শরণার্থী শিবিরে তাদের সঙ্গে ইফতার করেন।

Hon’ble Foreign Adviser H.E. Mr. Md. Touhid Hossain and H.E. Dr. Khalilur Rahman, High Representative of the Chief Adviser on Rohingya Issue and Priority Matters, called on UN Secretary-General H.E. Mr. António Guterres this morning in Dhaka.

The UN Secretary-General is visiting Bangladesh from 13-16 March 2025 as part of his Ramadan Solidarity Visit.

During the meeting, they discussed key issues, including the Rohingya crisis, ongoing reforms, human rights, peace and security, and UN-Bangladesh cooperation.

The Government of Bangladesh remains committed to strengthening its partnership with the United Nations in addressing global and regional challenges.

Bangladesh: New United Nations Human Rights report finds that serious, systematic human rights violations and abuses — including extrajudicial killings, extensive arbitrary arrests and torture — were committed during last year’s student-led protests.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk says accountability and justice are essential for national healing and the future of the country.
