I am a huge fan of hashtags. Anyone who saw any of my instagram posts will attribute that fact. But today, its a hashtag that is giving me so much pain, so much sadness. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would have to post this hashtag. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would have to witness such atrocity in my country again, so close to home. Holey Artisan was one of my most favorite places in the world, somewhere where I would go when I wanted to treat myself. I'm sure that all the people who were there tonight wanted to do the same. One of those victims could easily have been me, or anyone in my family.
My heart goes out to those victims, and their families. To the brave defense personnel who risked their lives to save the survivors. To the journalists who risked their lives to bring us updates, no matter how idiotic their method of collecting information was. To everyone who helped. To all the people who live around the area and were stuck at home, or outside their homes.

May Allah grant us all patience, strength, hope and faith and help us overcome this tremendous tragedy.
