"Parenting Education Program of CPD"

Theme of the event: Mothers’ role sought to build a peaceful society free from terrorism, militancy and drugs.

The project titled ‘MotherSchools Bangladesh ’ implemented by CPD with the support of Women Without Borders through Manusher Jonno Foundation. 220 mothers from different parts of capital successfully completed a five-month long course, aimed at building a peaceful society free from the vices. The mothers, on completion of the course, received certificates at the program today.

An event titled’ MotherSchools Graduation Ceremony’ at NGO Affairs Bureau at Agargaon in the capital today.
Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) and Community Participation and Development (CPD) jointly organized the event.

The role of mothers is most important for establishing a peaceful society because family education is the first step in forming the character and values of children. And children get this education mostly from their mothers. Addressing on the occasion, the speakers said, half of the country’s total population is female. The overall development of the country is not possible by leaving women behind. When mothers are aware, children will grow up properly. The children with these human qualities will be pioneer in building a happy, prosperous and safe society, they observe.
Therefore, active participation of mothers in family and social activities will help in building a happy, peaceful and prosperous society in the days to come. The mothers, who completed the course, will be able to apply the knowledge and make their families ideal places.

They lauded the initiative under the project as commendable, saying such initiative is essential to create awareness beginning from the family and prevent the youth from committing these crimes.
Terming terrorism, militancy, drugs and corruption as wounds of the society, they called upon all to be united for keeping our country free from this menace.

They hoped that this programme would play a pivotal role in establishing Bangladesh as a safe and beautiful country free from radicalism, militancy and terrorism.
Speakers at an event sought the role of mothers for building a peaceful society free from terrorism, militancy and drugs. All concerned such as parents, teachers, elders, relatives and public representatives have been asked to create awareness against militancy, terrorism and drugs.
