Against all odds, PSD has survived the battle to remain steadfast in its mission of education the underprivileged youth of Bangladesh.
Since the pandemic, non-profits have been hit the hardest, with funds disappearing into thin air and student attendance rates dropping like flies.
It has taken us five years, yes - but we still stand strong, and we will grow, despite the challenges we face.

Hello our dear followers ~ here's our 2025 Update !
The 2020 Covid-19 pandemic significantly impacted the PSD School, particularly affecting those families who were unable to feed and clothes their offspring and were forced to either employ their young sons in any kind of job to help their families or decided to marry their daughters off, no longer having the courage to brave an uncertain future. Underprivileged children from all over Bangladesh faced numerous challenges during this time such as Increased Dropout Rates and Child Labor, Funding Shortages, Learning Loss, Lack of Remedial Support and Multiple Economic Hardships that affected education continuity.
Since 2021, we have been working hard on implementing solutions, re-organising the scope of our efforts and sharpening our focus to deal with the problem areas. Eventually we got most of our students back in class and started to teach them again what they had forgotten in the meantime.
In the beginning 2023, we renewed our license and re-structured our entire committee board, bringing in experienced minds and hearts, with several of the new joining members former or current NGO workers.
Since the start of the pandemic, many Educational Parents could not continue to support us financially with the amount they had previously contributed each month. Overcoming this hurdle required us to arrange new sources of funding. Eventually we partnered with the International Inner Wheel Bailey Garden, Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc. WFWP Bangladesh , (Women’s Federation for World Peace)
and the Agami Foundation. With rejuvenated purpose, we started on our mission once again.
PSD has always dreamt of a better tomorrow where our children, no matter what economic background they come from, will have the opportunity to receive an education. Thank our Facebook followers for your continued support - through tough times, you have shown us that you care about what we do by liking and commenting on our posts, pictures and updates from quite some time ago!
We would love to express our appreciation on behalf of all PSD students, teachers, parents, and employees. We hope to reach farther and wider than ever before through our work from now on.
