The cost of the Diriyah project is 237 billion riyals in its three phases.

In January 2024, Bangladesh achieved a significant milestone in its ready-made garment (RMG) exports. The country shipped a remarkable $4.97 billion worth of garments, marking a 12.45% year-on-year growth. This single-month achievement is unprecedented in the nation’s history, reflecting the revival of the global economy and the garment sector. Notably, knitwear exports grew by 17.32%, while woven garments rebounded with a 7.16% growth. The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) attributes this success to diversification efforts and strategic market positioning.

All of the depositors of Signature Bank and Silicon Valley Bank will be made whole, and "no losses will be borne by the taxpayer," the US Treasury Department and other bank regulators said in a joint statement.
Silicon Valley Bank was the nation's 16th largest lender before the shutdown, and its collapse has had a profound impact on the tech industry, as it was a major financier of tech startups.
The startup-focused bank had $209 billion in total assets and about $175.4 billion in total deposits, as of December 2022.

Last February 14 to 15, ministers and high-level representatives from Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) member and partner countries convened in Paris for a ministerial meeting on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC). The meeting, attended by ministers of finance, economy, foreign affairs, trade and other government departments, came together for discussions around the broad theme "Promoting and enabling responsible business conduct in the global economy." It was co-chaired by France and the United States with Canada, Chile, Japan, Morocco, and the United Kingdom as vice chairs.

The OECD is an international organization comprised of 38 member-countries spanning North and South America to Europe and the Asia-Pacific. Working with more than 100 member and partner countries, organizations and stakeholders, the OECD aims to promote policies and evidence-based international standards to preserve equality, liberty, opportunity, and improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world.

A seminar on "BIDA's Bid Towards Smart Bangladesh, Intertwined National BioSecurity, and Vision 2041: A Biotechnology-Driven Healthcare System," was held at BIDA's Conference Room. BIDA executive member Ms. Mohsina Yasmin presided, where EC BIDA Mr. Lokman Hossain Miah was present as the Chief guest, In this seminar, Dr. Sanjan K. Das (Ph.D., in Structural Genomics), an advisory consultant of EDCL and former research fellow at the universities of Oxford, Sheffield, and Imperial College London, presented a visual presentation on the main topics. High-level officials from BIDA, BEZA, and the BEZA Hi-Tech Park Authority, attended the seminar.

Through our investment in innovation, we have been able to evolve our transport infrastructure, and Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) represents the pinnacle of our success so far. We have successfully digitised its terminal operating system, while also expanding and increasing multi-modality to further cut emissions.

As we look to the future we will continue to innovate, we will continue to make things possible that most of us don't even know can happen yet. There are challenges to this, we must remember to make our creations sustainable, and resources are limited. But I believe with the right commitment we can all become innovation champions.
