We met back in our high school days, but not as friends, not as lovers, not even on good terms. If anything, we were thorns in each other’s sides; never for a moment did we imagine that this unlikely beginning would lead us here.
Somewhere along the way, the thorns softened, and we became friends; surprisingly, effortlessly. Everything seemed unreal; almost accidental; as if life was gently rewriting our story. Then love found us. Not suddenly, but deeply. Falling for the same person again,
Yet this time it felt different; warmer, steadier, truer than before.
We got to know each other in ways we never had, and in doing so, we discovered home.
For nine years, we chose each other, through distance, uncertainty, and moments when everything seemed impossible. We stumbled, we waited, we grew, but we never let go.
Through thick and thin, we held on with faith, patience, and love.
What once felt like a fairy tale we never dared to dream is now our reality.
