যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের ডিপার্টমেন্ট অফ লেবার (শ্রম মন্ত্রণালয় ) থেকে প্রকাশিত একটি প্রতিবেদনে দেখা গেছে ২০২১ সালে সবচেয়ে খারাপ ধরনের শিশুশ্রম বন্ধে বাংলাদেশ মাঝারি ধরনের অগ্রগতি সাধন করেছে। যেমন- শ্রম পরিদর্শনের মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশ সরকার ২৩টি জেলা থেকে ঝুঁকিপূর্ণ পরিস্থিতিতে থাকা ৫,০৮৮ জন শিশুকে সরিয়ে এনেছে । তবে ডিপার্টমেন্ট অফ লেবার এ বছর জোরপূর্বক শ্রমের মাধ্যমে উৎপাদিত পণ্যের তালিকায় বাংলাদেশের তৈরি পোশাককে যুক্ত করেছে।

The U.S. Department of Labor published a report that found in 2021 Bangladesh made moderate advancement in efforts to eliminate the worst forms of child labor. For example, the government of Bangladesh removed 5,088 children in vulnerable situations from 23 districts through labor inspections. However, this year the Department of Labor added Bangladeshi garments to the list of goods produced by forced labor.
