BANGLA is a major public artwork in Tower Hamlets, London based on a socially engaged exploration of being Bangladeshi, living in the UK, during and after the Liberation War.
BHC Project Space is showing films and writing by citizen researchers + models and mock-ups of the Tower Hamlets installation by Dhaka-based architecture studio Paraa, in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Libraries and Archives, National Portrait Gallery (London), citizen researchers and The Rainbow Collective.

BANGLA! New installation at BHC Project Space.

BANGLA is a major public artwork in Tower Hamlets, London based on a socially engaged exploration of being Bangladeshi, living in the UK, during and after the Liberation War.

Manan Morshed in parallel with Dwip Gallery. We’re showing work from before 2015, they’re showing 80 recent paintings and drawings. BHC Project Space is committed to working with other art spaces/initiatives, creating more opportunities for makers/artists and expanding the opportunity for work to be experienced. Pleased to announce the first installation at our Project Space: ‘Stages of Melancholia’, work by Ruxmini Choudhury. “When any part of my body suffers, I try to imagine the pain, the nerves, the twists and turns inside me and try to document them.” Drawing, etching, painting (using brush and hand), stitching; acramin (pre-treatment agent for garment dyeing), water colour, pen, pencil, tea, ink, yarn on various types of paper.
