Does lactase have any side effects?

Lactase is a naturally occurring enzyme that is supposed to be present in the body. It is not a medication. Frequent usage will not cause any side-effects. If a looser stool is observed, drops of lactase used can be decreased.

How can you give lactase if breastfeeding?

Express a few tablespoons of breast milk into a sterilized container. Add four drops of lactase and feed it back to the baby using a sterilized spoon. Immediately start breastfeeding as normal.
