বিসিবির নতুন কমিটি নাকি নেতৃত্বে পারিবারিক রাজনৈতিক মিলনমেলা?; দ্বিধায় জনগণ

বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট বোর্ডের (বিসিবি) পরিচালনা পর্ষদ ভেঙে দিয়েছে জাতীয় ক্রীড়া পরিষদ (এনএসসি)। এর পরিবর্তে ১১ সদস্যের একটি আহ্বায়ক কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে, যার মাধ্যমে আপাতত বোর্ডের কার্যক্রম পরিচালিত হবে। নতুন এই কমিটির সভাপতির দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে তামিম ইকবালকে।

মঙ্গলবার (৭ এপ্রিল) বিকেলে আয়োজিত এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে এনএসসির ক্রীড়া পরিচালক আমিনুল এহসান এ তথ্য জানান। তিনি বলেন, বিসিবির নির্বাচনে কারচুপি ও বিভিন্ন অনিয়মের অভিযোগ পাওয়ায় বোর্ড ভেঙে দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়েছে। বিষয়টি আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেট কাউন্সিল (আইসিসি)-কেও অবহিত করা হয়েছে।

তবে নতুন কমিটি গঠনের পর থেকেই উঠেছে বিতর্ক। বিভিন্ন মহলে অভিযোগ উঠেছে, ১১ সদস্যের এই কমিটির মধ্যে অন্তত ৬ জন বর্তমান ক্ষমতাসীন রাজনৈতিক নেতাদের পরিবার-সম্পর্কিত—যেমন তাঁদের সন্তান বা জীবনসঙ্গী। ফলে এই কমিটিকে ঘিরে ‘পারিবারিক ও রাজনৈতিক প্রভাবের সমন্বয়’ নিয়ে প্রশ্ন তুলছেন অনেকেই।

এমন পরিস্থিতিতে ক্রিকেটপ্রেমীসহ সাধারণ জনগণের মধ্যে দেখা দিয়েছে দ্বিধা—এটি কি সত্যিই সংস্কারের পদক্ষেপ, নাকি নেতৃত্বে নতুন করে পারিবারিক-রাজনৈতিক প্রভাবের বিস্তার?

A major administrative shake-up has taken place in Bangladesh cricket, as the National Sports Council (NSC) has dissolved the board of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). An 11-member ad-hoc committee has been formed to oversee operations temporarily, with Tamim Iqbal appointed as its president.

The announcement was made on Tuesday (April 7) during a press briefing by NSC Director of Sports Aminul Ahsan. He stated that the decision followed allegations of irregularities and manipulation in the BCB elections. The matter has also been formally communicated to the International Cricket Council.

Meanwhile, former Bangladesh cricketer Imrul Kayes congratulated Tamim in a Facebook post while also issuing a word of caution. He wrote, “Be careful of the flattering people around you my friend. 👍 Congratulations.”
