Aquaman 2 was a fun movie; nothing too bad or too great. James Wan undeniably carried the film with his directing skills, compensating for the movie's weaker points in acting and storytelling. The fast pace and abundance of action sequences might overwhelm some viewers, but I enjoyed them. Personally, I would have preferred more close-quarter combat scenes as those were the ones that felt most impactful.

The sequel is a bit darker than the first movie, though it doesn't reach the likes of Zack Snyder's films. The heart of the movie lies in the charismatic and enjoyable chemistry between Jason Momoa and Patrick Wilson.

Despite a satisfying conclusion, the buildup to the "final boss fight" felt somewhat anticlimactic to me.

If you liked Aquaman 1, then you should also like the sequel. Although I found it not quite reaching the heights of the first installment. So it is better to go into this movie with low expectations like I did.

The DCEU has finally ended with this release, and it was a decent send-off overall.
