শুভ জন্মদিন শান্ত-মারিয়াম ইউনিভার্সিটি অব ক্রিয়েটিভ টেকনোলজি এবং শান্ত-মারিয়াম ফাউন্ডেশনের প্রতিষ্ঠাতা চেয়ারম্যান, বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা ইমামুল কবির শান্ত স্যার। ওনার হাত ধরেই আজকে এই ভার্সিটি পেয়েছি আমরা। হাজারো স্বপ্ন, আবেগ, ভালোবাসা জড়িত এই নামটির সাথে। শ্রদ্ধার সাথে স্মরণ করতে চাই "মাটির মানুষ" জনাব ইমামুল কবির শান্ত স্যারকে। তাই আসুন আমরা আরো চেষ্টা করি ভার্সিটির সুনাম উত্তরোত্তর বৃদ্ধি করতে। আল্লাহ তায়ালা যেন তাকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌস নসিব করেন (আমিন)।

🖥️ ‘Bengali.AI’, was founded in December 2017 by a group of BUET, KUET and BRACU graduates and is a non-profit research initiative that aims to democratize AI research in Bengali by teaching AI the Bengali we speak on a daily basis.

👉 Their datasets, which were gathered from various Bengali-speaking demographics, are made freely available to researchers in order to aid in the training of artificially intelligent systems.

📱 They are currently running a special social media campaign called 'Bok bok,' in which Bengali speakers from all over the world can contribute their "voice data" for the public domain research dataset. In theory, this AI will be able to understand conversational Bengali in the same way that Alexa and Siri do, with the added benefit of being able to be tweaked by anyone, at any time, for free.

📰 Bengali.AI's journey began in 2018 with NumtaDB, a dataset containing over 85,000 images of hand-written Bengali digits. In 2020, the Bengali.AI team published the first dataset of over 500,000 handwritten Bengali graphemes and collaborated with Google to launch an international Kaggle competition. This competition drew over 2,000 teams from around the world, regardless of native language.

👉 By 2021 Bengali.AI launched a slew of side projects, all geared toward the advancement of machine learning and natural language processing. Now, Bengali.AI is a community of over 6,000 international researchers working together to accomplish what many consider impossible: democratizing Bengali language-related technology.
