It is impossible to conjure up the right words – or any words at all – at such a tragic and shocking moment. We are beyond heartbroken and in a state of disbelief at the news of our beloved vocalist, friend, and brother – Ahrar “Diep” Masud – who passed away last night.
Our hearts and prayers are with his family, friends, and loved ones. Like all of you, we are trying to process this tragedy and find the right words to do justice to his amazing talent, and more importantly, to pay tribute to the amazing person Diep was to all of us. At this time, we please ask that you respect everyone’s privacy during this difficult time and join us in praying for his departed soul.
Rest in peace, Diep. You will be forever missed.
Was it Rustoff who was kicked off of the Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne "Back to the Beginning" tribute show last weekend by Sharon Osbourne? You'll never know, but here's what it could have looked like.
Props to the real Gojira for their awesome performance in Birmingham. Here's our tribute to the tribute with a take on "Born for One Thing" -- and next time, we'll make sure the cameraman understands that he can't stop filming before the chuggiest-chugs-to-ever-chug-part happens at the end of the song...🔥🐋🤘

Weird things happen when metal bands hang out, like the intentional summoning of apparitions of powerful deities from other realms…in this case, the beastly Danny Carey (undoubtedly summoned by our own beast on the kit). 😜👹🤘
Mandatory Metallica, Pt. 2: Dust off those bibles boys and girls, because it's time to sing a song about that one time a vengeful deity in ancient Egypt sent a plague, a.k.a. an Angel of Death, to demand the blood of the Pharoah's son and all firstborn males and stuff (it was a great day to be a girl and/or middle-to-youngest child).
Here is Creeping Death with help from Powersurge's Jamshed and CRYPTIC FATE's Sarfaraz. Can I get a hallelujah?
Mandatory Metallica, Pt. 1: The Sandman entered coincidentally enough as the light exited during our last stand at the American Club, with help from Jamshed from Powersurge and Sarfaraz from CRYPTIC FATE.
As Papa Het would say, "BOOOMM OOH-yyee-AAAHH!" 🔥🤘

"Could this be the end, my friend?" Our answer to Black Sabbath's question from their eponymous track: "Quite possibly." And like Black Sabbath, we're going back to back to the beginning for one final show on the home turf -- for "One Last Stand" at the American Club on May 8th. See you there...
