আজ ২২ ফেব্রুয়ারি, বিশ্ব স্কাউট আন্দোলনের স্বপ্নদ্রষ্টা ও প্রতিষ্ঠাতা লর্ড ব্যাডেন পাওয়েল-এর শুভ জন্মবার্ষিকী বা 'বি.পি দিবস'।

তাঁর দেখানো শৃঙ্খলা, আত্মনির্ভরশীলতা এবং নিঃস্বার্থ সেবার মহান আদর্শ আজও বিশ্বব্যাপী লাখো তরুণকে আলোর পথ দেখিয়ে চলেছে। সুনাগরিক হিসেবে দেশ ও মানুষের কল্যাণে কাজ করার যে দীক্ষা তিনি দিয়ে গেছেন, তা আমাদের জন্য এক চিরন্তন প্রেরণা। এই বিশেষ দিনে তাঁর স্মৃতির প্রতি জানাই গভীর শ্রদ্ধা এবং স্কাউটিংয়ের মূলমন্ত্র 'সদা প্রস্তুত' থাকার দৃঢ় অঙ্গীকার।
