Nature often tests us with unpredictable storms, rising tides, and recurring hardships that threaten livelihoods and homes. Yet, in the face of such adversity, a smile never truly fades from the faces of those who call these lands their home.

The secret to this unyielding strength lies in our children—our little ones who serve as our greatest source of hope and comfort. When the world feels heavy with uncertainty, looking into their innocent eyes and hearing their laughter provides the courage to start all over again. They are the anchor in every storm, reminding us why we fight, endure, and continue to dream of a better tomorrow.

No matter how harsh the environment or how difficult the journey, the love for our children and the simple joy they bring keep our spirits unbroken. 🌱❤️

We are delighted to share that the FDA-RHL Project recently hosted another highly successful monitoring visit from the Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) PMU team on July 26-27, 2026.

It was a pleasure to welcome back the delegation, including Mr. Md. Abu Nashir Khan, Mr. Md. Mahmuduzzaman, and Mr. Md. Al Amin. During this intensive two-day visit, the team comprehensively reviewed all our ongoing climate-resilient activities and field implementations across the Charfassion and Monpura regions.

From observing our on-ground adaptation strategies to evaluating the overall progress of our Climate Change Adaptation Groups (CCAGs), it was an incredibly productive session of monitoring, guidance, and mutual learning.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the PKSF team for their continuous support and insightful feedback, which constantly strengthens our commitment to building a sustainable and resilient future for our coastal communities. 🌿🌊

Transforming Coastal Livelihoods through Sustainable Crab Farming! 🦀

We are proud to share the progress of our crab farming initiatives in the Charfassion and Monpura regions. By adopting climate-resilient practices and supporting our dedicated local farmers, we are creating sustainable income opportunities in the coastal belts of Bhola.

With the guidance of our project team and the hard work of our beneficiaries, we are turning saline-affected lands into productive hubs for high-value crab cultivation. Together, we are building a more resilient future!

From Displacement to Empowerment: How Moyful Begum Rebuilt Her Life 🐐✨

"When we lost everything to river erosion and were completely helpless, the RHL project’s goat shed and training showed us a new way to survive. The very hands I once used to work as a maid in others' houses have now sold goats worth over a lakh taka during this Kurbani Eid." — Moyful Begum

Years ago, the devastating erosion of the Meghna River left Moyful Begum and her family displaced and struggling to survive. Forced into domestic work just to put food on the table, a stable future seemed like a distant dream.

Everything changed when the Resilient Homestead and Livelihood (RHL) project (implemented by FDA and coordinated by PKSF) stepped in. Recognizing her potential, the project provided her with a modern elevated slatted goat house and hands-on training in climate-smart livestock management.

With a small investment and newfound expertise, Moyful moved away from high-risk traditional methods. By isolating her goats from damp, saline soil, she brought livestock mortality to zero. Her farm quickly blossomed from a few goats to a thriving herd of 37!

The real breakthrough came this past Eid-ul-Adha. By strategically selling 8 of her healthiest goats, Moyful earned a massive BDT 1,28,000. This life-changing profit has not only wiped out her family’s poverty but has also allowed her to confidently fund her children's education. 🎓

Today, Moyful is no longer a victim of displacement—she is a celebrated entrepreneur and a beacon of hope.
