🐾 DD IS READY FOR HIS FOREVER HOME! 🏡❤️

DD was sadly abandoned outside the property and left confused and frightened. Since then, he has come such a long way. With patience, care and socialization, we’ve watched his personality begin to shine.

🐶 DD weighs approximately 21 lbs and has been castrated. He is friendly and sociable with both humans and other dogs, making him a great candidate for a family home. He can still be a little shy when first meeting someone new, but give him a little time and his happy, energetic personality soon comes bursting through.

Now, DD has completed his journey with us and is ready for adoption. All he needs is someone willing to give him the chance he should have had from the beginning.

Anyone seriously interested in meeting DD is welcome to visit him at Well Vet Clinic during our visiting hours:

Weekdays: 8:30 AM – 10:30 AM & 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Weekends: 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM

🐾 UPDATE ON THE ABANDONED DOG 🐾

We wanted to share an update on the dog who was recently abandoned outside our facility.

We’re happy to say that he has started to come around beautifully. ❤️ He is becoming much more comfortable and friendly with humans, and he certainly has a great appetite! It has been encouraging to see him slowly begin to trust and settle into his new surroundings.

Over the next few days, we will carefully assess his behaviour and temperament around other dogs. Once we are comfortable with his progress, he will also be castrated as part of preparing him for the next chapter of his life.

After his assessments and veterinary care are completed, we will begin looking for a responsible, loving forever home that is the right fit for him. 🏡🐶

We also have an update regarding the vehicle involved. The registration number has been identified as XB 3100.

To the person responsible: next time, please think before you act. Abandoning an animal has consequences—not only for the people left to pick up the pieces, but most importantly for the innocent animal who does not understand why they have been left behind.

Unfortunately, at this time, there are no adequate laws on our island specifically protecting animals from abandonment. We hope that one day this will change, because animals deserve better.

For now, our focus is on giving this boy the care, patience and security he needs.

🚨 ABANDONED DOG — RESCUE UPDATE 🐾

This morning at approximately 10:17 AM, a medium-sized mixed-breed dog was heartlessly abandoned next to our garbage cans. 💔

Thankfully, we were able to capture part of the incident on our security cameras. After nearly an hour of trying to safely catch him, we were finally able to get him to safety.

He is currently extremely frightened, confused, and terrified. We can only imagine what he has been through and how difficult this experience must be for him. For now, our priority is giving him a safe, quiet environment where he can decompress and begin to feel secure again. ❤️‍🩹

Over the next few days, we will carefully assess his temperament and behaviour once he has had time to settle. We will then provide an update on whether he is able to safely rejoin our boarding environment and what the next steps will be for his care.

Abandoning an animal is never the answer. There are always people and organisations willing to help. Please reach out for assistance rather than leaving an innocent animal frightened and alone.
