Multi-aged Classrooms and the Three year Cycle
All age groups are mixed, each group spanning three years from the youngest to the oldest child. Successful learning takes place when children spend three consecutive years in each safe and nurturing classroom where a sense of “family” is quickly formed with teachers and peers (Montessori pedagogy depends on this three-year cycle of education).

By laying out the continents and pairing them with picture cards, this student is discovering where the animal kingdom lives.
In the Montessori classroom, this activity helps the child classify the world, moving from a simple puzzle to understanding the natural homes of animals across the globe.

Everything came to a stop, and that felt exactly right. A sudden roar from outside sent every child running to the window, and no one held them back. A helicopter,a real one! For a moment, the outside world slipped uninvited into the classroom and was warmly embraced. The children followed their curiosity, and the teachers followed the children. What made this moment important was not the helicopter itself, but the way the adults responded to the children’s curiosity. While in traditional classrooms such interruptions are often quickly stopped so the lesson can continue according to plan, the Montessori approach leaves space for spontaneity, movement, and exploration. Children are free to follow what genuinely interests them, and learning becomes connected to real life and experience.

— From simple, natural ingredients, we can create an eco-friendly material that is interesting to explore. We hope you enjoy this small science experiment and discover how useful and inspiring nature can be. Orange peels are chopped and blended with a little water. The mixture is gently heated, then strained to obtain a liquid rich in pectin. A small amount of vinegar and glycerin is added to this liquid, and it is heated again until it becomes thicker. Finally, the mixture is poured onto a flat surface and left to dry for several days. Once dry, it forms a thin bioplastic that can be bent and shaped.Soon we will share results with you!

Care of the Environment is at the heart of Montessori, teaching children that every small act of tidying builds independence, respect, and a deep sense of belonging. Our little ones sweep, clean, and care for their space with pride and purpose. In doing so, they are not just keeping a classroom tidy, they are growing into mindful, capable individuals.

Pejzaži, životinje, biljke i tradicionalne nošnje.
A onda počinju razgovori.

Two children, a floor covered in patterns, and one bag per continent. Each bag has its own colour, green for Africa, red for Europe, brown for Australia, etc., and inside, a little piece of that world. Landscapes, animals, plants, traditional costumes. The children look closely at each picture, decide which pattern it matches, and walk over to place it there.
This kind of activity is hands-on, it moves, it takes time, and it asks children to really look: to observe, compare, decide. That builds concentration and patience in the most natural way, because they’re not sitting still to learn. They’re moving through it.
And then the conversations start. “What is that?” “Where is that place?” “Why does she wear that?” Curiosity opens up without anyone asking it to.

Starije dijete stavlja kecelju, priprema aktivnost i vodi svoju mlađu prijateljicu kroz svaki korak, a zatim tiho uzima svoj rad i sjeda pored nje.
Praktični život u svom punom smislu: briga o sebi, briga o drugima i tiha radost smislenog rada, rame uz rame.

An older child ties on an apron, sets up the whisking activity, and guides her younger friend every step of the way, then quietly fetches her own work and sits alongside her. Practical life in its fullest form: care of self, care of others, and the quiet joy of purposeful work, side by side.

Proljetno sunce, topli čaj i tiha čarolija jednostavnog bivanja.

Spring sun, warm tea, and the quiet magic of just being. These two remind us that grace lives within us, it just needs space to bloom. At our school, we believe the most powerful thing a child can learn is to feel at home in themselves.

Through touch, children discover the world in the most natural way. This simple classification exercise invites our little one to explore, compare, and make sense of what her hands feel. In Montessori, the senses are the gateway to learning. And the hand the instrument of the mind.
