Translation:
On March 18, His Majesty the King received the book Volk van veerkracht, a powerful reflection on Aruba’s journey over the past 40 years.
We are honored that Hope Aruba contributed to this publication with 'Over dragen en
overdragen: veertig jaar samen onderweg.' Our reflection focuses on the strength of our community: how we have continuously shown up for one another, carried our nation through times of crisis, and built on resilience, often without the structures we truly needed.
At the same time, it is an honest reflection on the toll this has taken, and the responsibility we now carry. Moving forward requires more than resilience alone. It calls for conscious choices, shared ownership, and a reimagining of education that truly reflects who we are and who we aspire to be.
Because a mature nation is not only built on what we endure, but on what we choose to change.

This Valentine’s Day, we recognize the heart of our community.
Volunteers are the foundation of many of the programs and traditions we value. Through their dedication and service, they make it possible for others to thrive and for our community to prosper.
The word civic simply means participating in and taking responsibility for the community we share. It is not about politics. It is about contribution, collaboration, and care.
Civic engagement may look like coaching a youth team, mentoring a young person, serving on a board, volunteering your time during activities or supporting local initiatives.
Today, we honor those who carry our nation forward through service and commitment. Let us share that love by continuing to strengthen our community together❤️❤️❤️

Sometimes HOPE looks small.
A conversation that matters.
A moment of listening.
A decision guided by respect.
This is how Honor, Opportunity, Progress for all, and Excellence take shape: one step at a time.
As we step into the new year, we carry HOPE with us. May 2026 bring you peace, purpose, and the quiet strength to keep choosing HOPE.

This Christmas, we move forward guided by HOPE.
With gratitude for the people who are here,
with belief in what we are building together,
and with HOPE as our guide:
Honor in how we treat one another,
Opportunity for all,
Progress made together,
and Excellence as our shared commitment.
May this season bring warmth, trust, and renewed energy.
And may the year ahead be shaped by courage, care, and HOPE.
Merry Christmas from all of us at HOPE Aruba.
When we move forward together, guided by youth voices, HOPE becomes something we build every day. Is every school in Aruba a safe, welcoming space for each child? What can we do as a community to improve the well-being of our youth?

From Human Rights Day to real progress
December 10 marks International Human Rights Day, a moment to reflect on rights not just as ideals, but as lived realities.
The Aruba Youth Monitor shows us where those realities need attention: young people report challenges related to mental health, well-being at school, safety, and being heard. These insights are not conclusions: they are calls to action.
If 2026 is to be a year of moving forward, it must be the year we shift from acknowledging issues to actively seeking solutions, together with youth. Data helps us understand what is happening; young people help us design what comes next. Human rights gain meaning when young voices help shape the future.
Let December 10 be more than a date, let it be a starting point.
When we move forward together, guided by youth voices, HOPE becomes something we build, every day.
