After a huge year keeping our Clients and Site Teams supported, safe, and running smoothly, the Core HS office team officially left the laptops and phones behind on Friday — and headed over to stunning Rottnest Island for a well-earned day in the sun! (Okay… we may have snuck one laptop and quite a few phones just in case 😉)
A mix of e-biking, beach lounging, and a long, laughter-filled lunch made for the perfect wrap-up to 2025. Turns out e-biking brings out just a touch of healthy competition! 😄
A massive thank you to our incredible office support team for your dedication, drive, and all-round brilliance this year. Bring on 2026 — it's looking bright! 🌟

Your Partner In Workplace Health and Safety I Core HS 26/03/2024

We are pleased to announce that Alix Norsworthy, someone who has, for the past eight years, been a formidable presence in our competitive landscape, is joining Core HS as General Manager.

Having first worked with Alix in 2015 we always felt that this story had another chapter to write. We are therefore pleased to announce that Alix will spend the next 6 months working alongside Emma who will be phasing into retirement over the course of 2024. Alix will then transition into Emma's role alongside Justin and Jesse. This transition presents a unique opportunity for Alix to be intimately involved in shaping the trajectory of Core HS.

Alix's integration into our leadership structure is a testament to our long-held respect for Alix, commitment to continuity, and ambition moving forward.

Please join us in warmly welcoming Alix into the Core HS family.

What a weekend for the mine emergency response teams who competed at the Mining Emergency Response Competition.

This year Core HS were pleased to provide training to Fortescue Chichester Hub and Northern Operations Teams, as well as sponsor the Outstanding Volunteer Awards.

For the second year running the Fortescue Chichester Team, trained by Ben Church from Core HS, took home Overall 1st place and Fortescue Northern Operations Team, trained Jesse Francis, scored 1st place for the coveted Confined Space Rescue scenario.

We’re looking forward to continuing our support of WA mine rescue and emergency response through training and development.

On this World Mental Health Day, we would like to share our appreciation to all of our frontline teams of security, medical, safety and emergency response personnel.

Working FIFO, away from family, whilst also training, learning, and developing their skills so they can be ready to assist can sometimes be a challenge that goes unnoticed. Just as they are prioritising others well-being to ensure they are ready to respond, it's crucial they prioritise their own mental health too.

Seeking help is not a sign of weakness, but a testament to your strength. Reach out, have those conversations that truly matter. Whether it's a trusted colleague, a professional counsellor, or by talking to any of our team, support is always available.

Last year we reached out to members of the Core HS team for feedback. We learned about what they find both rewarding and challenging, and we want to openly share these findings with you.

We’re incredibly proud of the team and culture we’re building, but like anything, we know there’s always room for improvement.

We asked the team what was important as an employer:

⚫ 71% of respondents said learning and training opportunities
⚫ 70% of respondents said being equipped to deliver services to the highest standards
⚫ 67% of respondents said work/life balance

If you’re working in the remote healthcare, emergency response or safety field, we’d love to know – what kind of training and new skills would you like to develop as part of your role?
