Michael dropped his Defender in along with his Defender and Patriot Camper trailer for a full inspection and electrical refresh before heading back out on the road.

Our team carried out a full check of the electric brake system to ensure safe and reliable towing performance, swapped over the trailer plug for improved connection and reliability, and upgraded the camper battery setup with 2 brand new INVICTA lithium batteries for better performance and longer off-grid capability.

This brand-new 2025 Mazda BT-50 came into the workshop for a serious charging system upgrade.

The factory 90-amp alternator was removed and replaced with a heavy-duty 160-amp unit, providing the extra charging capacity needed to support modern accessories and demanding electrical loads.

Whether it’s dual battery systems, fridges, lighting, compressors, inverters or work equipment, a higher-output alternator helps ensure your vehicle can keep up with the power demand.

Another Hilux through the shop getting a couple of solid upgrades 👌

We’ve fitted it up with a GME XRS-330COB UHF and a REDARC Tow-Pro Elite V3 — nice simple combo that makes a big difference.

The XRS is a mint bit of gear — all the controls in the handset, super tidy install and loud, clear comms for when you’re out on the tracks 🔊

And the Tow-Pro V3 has it ready to tow whatever you throw behind it. Smooth braking on the road and full control when things get a bit rough 👍
