How many remember the 2013 USAC Racing Sprint car opener at Bubba Raceway Park? Tony Stewart Racing driver Bryan Clauson Racing "parked it" and never looked back as he went on to win his 2nd straight Championship. Will BC be able to make it three straight championships. Or will the Peoples Champ, Dave Darland and the Phillips Motorsports put a stop to it?

Last year Daryn Pittman put the Kasey Kahne Racing sprinter in victory lane for the World of Outlaws opener at Volusia Speedway Park. He never looked back and brought home the Championship.
How important will it be for Pittman to get off to a strong start this year?

Colby Copeland has added his name to an impressive list of Winners at the USAC Racing Southwest Sprint Cars vs USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series Winter Challenge. Since Canyon Speedway Park started doing the Winter Challenge the list of drivers that have participated in and won races is impressive. The list of winners includes Tracy Hines Racing 3, Bryan Clauson Racing 3, Chuck D 2, Dave Darland 2, Jon Stanbrough 1, R.J. Johnson Racing 1, and Brady Bacon Racing 1. Although this was not Copeland’s first win at Canyon it might be the biggest.
Racing resumes tonight. Will we get another first time Winter Challenge winner or will one of the previous winners prevail?

The second half of the USAC Racing Southwest Sprint Cars vs. USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series Winter Challenge at Canyon Speedway Park goes green tonight. Will tonight be the night JP12 puts the always potent ABC Body Shop Cottonwood, Arizona sprinter in victory lane?

Here's a cool shot Backed In Photography caught of Casey Shuman and Shon Deskins at the USAC Racing Southwest Sprint Cars vs. USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series Winter Challenge at Canyon Speedway Park. Both of these drivers have won on the Canyon Clay. It would not surprise me to see one of these guys sn**ch a win or two this coming week.

We are halfway through the USAC Racing Southwest Sprint Cars vs. USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series Winter Challenge at Canyon Speedway Park. Josh Pelkey sits atop of the standing with 2 podiums and a 4th place finish. Dave Darland has closed within 15 points with his back to back wins. R.J. Johnson Racing is just 17 points back with 2 podiums and a 6th.
Will the Peoples Champ be able to continue his winning ways? Or will Arizona standouts like JP12, ChuckD, or R.J. Johnson break through and keep the visitors like Nic Faas, Brady Bacon Racing, Casey Shuman, Ryan Bernal Racing or Aaron Reutzel Racing out of the Winners Circle? Who’s your pick for the second half?

Congratulations to Tim Kaeding and Dyson Motorsport on their win at the Lucas Oil Grand Annual Classic. Max Dumesny Motorsport finished second and SWI Engineering Racing driver Jamie Veal rounded out the top 3.
A SprintcarZone photo. What a fitting shot of TK. Great job.

Night 2 of the USAC Racing Southwest Sprint Cars vs. USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series Winter Challenge at Canyon Speedway Park saw teammates Dave Darland and Ryan Bernal finish in the top two spots. It was a nice turnaround for the People Champ who was the first car out for Fridays main. R.J. Johnson Racing finished 3rd. R.J. has probably passed the most cars so far starting 13th on Friday and 15th last night. He has managed to race his way to a podium both nights. Look out if he gets a better starting spot in a heat race. Night 3 goes green at 5 this evening.
Who's your pick for night 3?
