For this weekend, we have some tips for you on where not to bring your first date to.đ
đAvoid suggesting âNetflix and chillâ as you donât want to give the impression that youâre asking for a b***y call.
đSave McDonalds or any fast food restaurant for dates # 5 onwards.
đA gathering with family or friends isnât definitely not a great choice for a first date as it puts undue pressure on your date to impress your social circle.
đRefrain from taking your date to a busy loud pub where you can hardly hear each other.
If youâre available on the 29th April, join us for our Singles event in Chatswood for an afternoon of mingling, snacking and drinking from 3.30 pm to 6pm. To book your spot for the event, ring/text our resident matchmaker, Rose, at 0433 312 514 or [email protected].

When youâve been dating online for awhile, it can feel like no matter how many people youâve swiped right, youâll never meet your soulmate. Chances are, your jaded feelings towards dating is making you miss out on that special someone without realising!
Here are some tips to tell when someone could be âthe oneâ.
đWhen youâre with the person, you feel accepted as you are and are free to speak your mind and grow and evolve as a person.
đThe person feels trustworthy, complements your personality, and shares similar values and life direction.
đBeing around this person brings out feelings of empathy, warmth and tenderness, rather than feelings of obsession and insecurity.

Awkward dates are part and parcel of modern dating and itâs probably better to cut your losses early. Here are some tips on exiting a date with grace. Pass it on to your friends who would appreciate!
đAt the start of the date, give yourself an option to exit by saying that you canât have a big night as you have an early start the next day.
đHave friends waiting nearby to ârunâ into and turn the date into a group hangout instead.
đHave a friend to call you about an âemergencyâ or fake a work emergency.
đBe honest and say you have to go without giving an excuse or reason.

Finding someone to spend the rest of your life with is no easy feat. A lot of things need to be in place before you find âthe perfect partnerâ and even if you do meet your dream partner, things can still go wrong.đł
Donât get stressed out when a date doesnât go as planned or expected. If you blame yourself, youâll lose confidence in yourself and in dating. To consciously put a stop to an unconstructive internal monologue during a date, take a breath and count to three. Youâll be surprised at how this little trick will help you regain composure and turnaround the date.
