PRIVATE SUPPORT WORKER EXTRODINAIRE!
Looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join my team. I am a happy and loving 14 year old girl who requires constant assistance in all areas of my life, including personal care and sleepovers. The below is a memory of a post my daughter put up in 2014. The whole reason I do what I do.......

Ive never really 'come out' about this but... i have a cross between cerebral palsy, spinabifida & scolliosis.. I had spinal fusion when i was 2 & i was in a chest cast, one day i was playing with stamp & lost the lid down my cast & it dug into my skin. I nearly got ink poisoning.. I was born in england but my parents moved me to australia because i would have died in the climate over there. Ive had both my legs broken & reconstructed with metal plates & screws, i had a second lot of spinal fusion done when i was 15 because my spine was so badly curved it was going to crush my lungs or some s**t.. I was told when i was a toddler id never walk & need a wheelchair.. I walked, i was told id never be able to have kids naturally, i popped out two of them naturally. Ive had to learn to walk 4 times now... I was in a car accident last year which involved another two surgerys, a pelvic one & another leg one.. My body is covered in scars, my back looks different, my chest is different & i walk with a limp. I feel people stare at me, but i cant help the way i am, i had no control over any of this. Say what you want, judge me.. I dont care, im a survivor, im gonna make it. My mental strength will put you 10 feet under.
Do you all still think im perfect?
I think im beautiful.
