Alright, alright, alright.

Out on track tonight, let’s see what we can do!

We have done a couple other nights previously but we didn’t really see any success with the direction we were taking the car. Tonight feels much better off the bat and with what we learned from the incorrect direction we were taking previously, I confident we have a competitive car. 🤞🏻🫣

Not a massive field with only 11 of us in the LS cars. Both heats and feature will see all the cars running together all night. This will give us a good idea on where we will sit with being competitive.

I have not been able to focus on fine tuning my driving technique as we have struggled with setup and have seen ourselves going away from where we need to be. If our car continues to sit in the sweet spot tonight, I should get a chance to focus on what I need to do correctly.

Let’s find out!

So far, we qualified 5th out of 11 cars. 3rd to 6th are all in the 12.6 mark so tight front half of the field.

Touch base later, 1st heat is coming up shortly with us starting out of 5th.

5 years later and we are still alive!

Back again to see if my cajones allow me to keep the throttle on the ground and ripping the wall.
Nothing like flying towards a cement wall and turning left as late as possible right? 🤣

Well, Dad, I’m sorry in advance for when I roll our beautiful machine. Just remember this apology for that day 😅

We have seen a bit of an evolution in our car over the couple seasons that we competed. It was never really where we wanted it to be, it was just always hard to transition the image from our head to the car. I can say we have certainly succeeded this time!

We have decided step down into the LS series for the time being. We believe this to be a better way to finetune our understanding of the car and get myself back into the groove.. I believe we will see better value for money by doing this in the short to mid term. The big banger is still in the shed for when we choose to step back up 😊

No dates to schedule yet as the season is well underway. We still have a couple things to do to be ready but we will push to do some events prior to the ending of the season. Stay tuned!

The big point of this post is:

#1 - How good does the car look? 😏

#2 - Thank the old man for being the one to drive the possibility to even compete. This is also a Family/Friendly sport and it takes more than one to have it succeed. Looking forward to those nights of frustration and hopefully glimpses of success while spending time with my Father, Brother and any other Family and Friends that join. Hopefully even rub the love of speed onto Nathan Jnr!

#3 - To thank Sedl for his continued support of my old man to make this possible. You are always helping the speedway community and I hope you get more recognition into the future, even if you don’t want it 😂

I’ll do another post to better recognise the other support we have across this car but above deserve their own recognition first and foremost. 😊
