Something I’d tell myself five years ago.
You’re doing it.
You’re actually doing it.
You’re scared and you’re showing up anyway.
You’re building something from nothing,
in a field people don’t fully understand yet,
prepared to be judged for it.
That takes guts.
Be proud of that.
But also.
Look up more.
Your kids are all still home right now.
You’re still somewhat the centre of their worlds.
They’re still innocent in that way that doesn’t last forever.
Notice that.
Be in it.
Not because you’re getting it wrong.
Because it’s so good and it goes so fast.
The business questions don’t stop.
Will people book, will they come back, am I enough.
They just become familiar.
You learn to build alongside them instead of waiting for them to go quiet.
And the judgment you’re so afraid of?
Some people will.
Do it anyway.
Show your kids what it looks like
to believe in something and back yourself completely.
That’s the gift.
Not the perfect business.
Not the full calendar.
The fact that you had a go.
That you kept going.
That you chose something that meant something to you.
I’m proud of her.
I’m proud of me.
And I’m still going. 🌿
Non-negotiables I live by as a mum who has helped hundreds of women.
Not because I have it all figured out.
Because I notice when these slip.
Connecting with the people I love.
Actually connecting.
Good wholesome food.
My body knows the difference.
Some kind of daily movement.
Doesn’t have to be much.
Filtered, mineralised water.
Small habit. Real impact.
Dim lights in the evening.
A quiet signal to my nervous system that the day is winding down.
Starting the day with gratitude and reflection.
Even when it’s hard to find.
Voice journaling.
Talking through whatever’s sitting in me.
Getting it out.
And piling into bed with my family whenever we can.
That one fills me up more than anything else on this list.
I work with women’s nervous systems every day.
These are the things that keep mine supported.
None of them are complicated.
That’s kind of the whole point.

Such a sweet heart, not very impressed with me though!
If I was starting again, here’s what I’d do differently.
First. I would have started on my own nervous system sooner. I thought I had to have it all together before I could help anyone else. I didn’t. The work I did on myself made me a better practitioner.
Second. I would have stopped trying to explain it before people felt it. No amount of words does what one session does. I spent too long trying to convince people with information. Now I just invite them to experience it.
Third. I would have trusted the process more. There were times early on where I questioned whether it was working, whether I was doing enough. The body always knows. It moves in its own time. I just had to learn to trust that.

What a baby’s nervous system taught me about fast healing.
A baby’s body has less interference. That’s it. No years of layered stress blocking the way.
But here’s the thing. Your body can still heal fast. You might be carrying twenty four years of stress, but it doesn’t take twenty four years to release it. Your nervous system is built to move through blockages quickly, once the interference clears.
A baby just gets there faster because there’s less in the way.
You’ve got the same capacity. You’re just working with more layers to move through.
Stress shows up in your body in ways you might not expect.
One. You can think you’re dealing with it - and your body is still carrying it.
It shows up in your spine, your tissue, your nervous system. Stress doesn’t just disappear because you’ve moved on mentally.
Two. Your symptoms are not your body breaking down.
That’s your body communicating. It’s saying - I’m carrying a load here. This is stress. It’s intelligent, not broken.
Three. It doesn’t always feel like stress.
Tight jaw. Poor sleep. Snapping at the people you love. Feeling wired but exhausted. Stress wears a lot of disguises.
Four. Your body will always let you know eventually.
The question is whether you’re listening before it gets loud.

Four weeks old.
There’s something really special about working with babies this young - their systems are so responsive.
Such a privilege.
Because tired became our baseline so gradually we didn’t even notice.
We just… adjusted.
We stopped expecting to feel good. We started managing. Pushing through. Caffeinating through.
And somewhere along the way we decided this was just what life feels like now.
It’s not.
Your body isn’t broken. It’s overloaded.
And there’s a difference.

This is what chemical stress actually looks like.
Most people don’t know it’s a thing.
And fewer know you can actually see it - in the body, on the body.
One of the places I look as a practitioner is the back of the neck.
That puffiness. That line.
It’s not random. It’s your body holding something it hasn’t been able to process.
Chemical stress builds quietly through what we eat, what we put on our skin, what we breathe in every day. And over time, it shows up.
Your body is always communicating.
Sometimes you just need to know where to look.
