Some of the teeny tiny pompon dahlias we enjoyed in our patch this season ✨
Most of those pictured should be available in our Spring tuber sale.
Nero won’t be making an appearance just yet though. We’re still building our stock numbers and, as one of our new favourites, we’ll be holding onto every tuber we can for now!
Have you thought about adding a few pompons to your patch? Their perfectly formed blooms are like little pops of joy in the garden and our bunches.
We absolutely adore them! 🩷

Devon Image.
A beautiful pink dahlia with a pretty lighter centre as the petals unfurl and delicate white tips.
The colour intensity can vary throughout the season but is generally quite a soft pink.
Being a miniature decorative in size, this one is the perfect size for cut flower bunches.
Tubers in stock? ✅

🌸 Glenmarc Divine 🌸
The softest shade of lilac pink, Glenmarc Divine is a true pastel beauty. Producing elegant blooms on long stems, this tall-growing variety is perfect for cutting and adds a dreamy, romantic touch to bouquets and garden arrangements.
A must-have for lovers of soft, delicate colours.
Tubers available in our Spring sale? ✅

All of our tubers are now safely tucked in for a long winter’s nap.
Messages are already starting to trickle in asking about pre-orders, so I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that our tubers won’t be available for sale until spring, when they begin to wake up and show clear eyes/sprouts.
The best way to stay informed about our sale date is to subscribe to our email list via our website.
At this stage, we expect our sale to take place sometime in September.
Until then, I’ll continue to share and highlight cultivars from our collection. I’ll also be removing any cultivars from the website that we don’t have enough tubers of to offer this coming season. That process should be finalised within the next few weeks.
Happy browsing, and wishing you all the best with your own digging, dividing, and wish-list creating!

Today’s dahlia feature is the breathtakingly beautiful Formby Pearl.
Flowering strongly all season long on a very healthy plant, Formby Pearl is both stunning and very productive! And the form of this flower is perfection! So elegant.
We have good numbers in storage if you’re looking to add this one to your collection.
What do you think?

Vintage Wine.
If you loved Wine Dot from my previous post, chances are you’ll also love this one.
A very similar shape but with softly speckled pastel pink blooms.
We have good numbers of tubers tucked away in storage to share in Spring.

It’s a cool foggy one today and our daughter Adriana and my grandkitten Maxie the ragdoll are here to visit so I’m prioritising time with them BUT I had to have a quick garden wander….

A bit of love for the beautiful Wine Dot.
A firm favourite here.
I love her shape, her speckles, her variation across blooms.
I find speckled blooms are a little divisive, you either love or hate them. But if you’re going to try one, Wine Dot is a great place to start. It pairs well with all of the pink shades and adds a lot of interest.
It is prone to throwing sports too, making it even more interesting. One of our plants threw a beautiful pure burgundy last year but I didn’t end up getting time to get a cutting. Maybe this year….

A closer look at the beautiful Florelie Guava
I REALLY enjoyed growing this one last year.
It didn’t matter where I planted her, she did well. She is the most beautiful guava/watermelon shade like no other and the petals have a sweet gold tip.
We are planning on expanding our plantings of this beauty next season but still have good numbers of tubers in storage to share at our spring sale.

A few too many favourites to confine to one page. I really do LOVE these colours more than any others in the patch.
Florelie Guava is so gorgeous! A super saturated colour that is just something else and performs all season long.
Florelie Flamingo, a new addition from the Florelie collection is another drop dead gorgeous colour that falls somewhere between pink and peach and varies throughout the season. Another superb cut flower.
Formby Rocket wowed us this season with her long stems and vibrant blooms. A beautiful addition to our patch. Tall growing and beautiful form and perfect head angle for bunches.
Robin Hood and Parklea KB are both very solid performers and hard to tell apart. They are equally reliable and pretty.
Peachy has been around along time and never fails to perform in our patch. I find it typically flowers best in the later part of the season when some others are slowing down.
Florelie angostura is a pretty one due to the variation in colour in each bloom, with some having more white tipped petals than others. It also flowers well.
Glenmarc Viva packs a punch with its fiery orangy petals which are so vibrant. It seems to have quite a bit of petal shimmer as well.
Glenmarc Renegade is more a true orange, which I’ve been chasing for a while as Bracken Palamino never does too well for us. This one grew strongly and I’m loving the colour.
Devon Opaline is a beautiful colour and flowers well. The flowers can be a bit clock faced or forward facing, so if this is an issue for you it may not be the best pick for you, but it’s a lovely colour.
