DESIGN // CONSTRUCT // MAINTAIN - One of our favourite small trees to specify in a garden is the magnificent Magnolia doltsopa. This is a large shrub or small tree native to the eastern Himalayan regions. Magnolia doltsopa is an elegant evergreen specimen tree, highly valued for its large, glossy foliage, refined form and highly fragrant creamy-white flowers. Reaching approximately 8–15 metres, it provides year-round structure, scale and privacy within the landscape. Ideally suited to temperate gardens, it performs best in a sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil and consistent moisture, making it an excellent choice for feature planting or sophisticated screening. ̇gn

DESIGN // CONSTRUCT // MAINTAIN - Pruning a Phoenix canariensis (Canary Island Date Palm) is important to maintain the tree’s health, safety, and appearance. Removing dead, damaged, or dying fronds helps prevent pests from nesting, reduces the risk of falling branches, and improves the overall look of the palm. During pruning, only the dead or unhealthy fronds are removed, along with old flower and seed stalks if required.
