So we are having a bit of a thing happening at Genesis Blacktown on Saturday. Come on down and watch the trainers (yes, including myself) get a dose of our own medicine! While you are here, you can try a Genfit class and watch/join in as we take the 11am class live on the level 4 stage!!!

So I completed my first Spartan race today!! 5kms, 30 obstacles and a world of pain that I have never felt before. (Let's not discuss the 30kg sand bag sprint up the stadium stairs!) It's something I've wanted to do for a while but never had the courage or confidence to attempt.. Then I realised I should just shutup and get it done.. and that's exactly what I did! You know what? The pain will wear off and the fatigue will be slept off but the feeling of accomplishment will remain for a long time to come.. How are you tracking with your goals?!

Did you know it is recommended that we each walk 10,000 steps a day in order to burn 20% of our caloric intake through activity? Many of us think that we do more steps than we actually do! A good way to track your steps is with a pedometer. Go pick one up and find out how many steps you do!!
If you are needing to increase your daily steps, try taking the stairs, carrying in the shopping 1 bag at a time, take a walk around during your lunch break or pick a parking spot further away than you would usually.
Yesterday I did a little over 16,000 steps. Today I am setting a goal of 20,000. I challenge you to set a daily step goal and reach it!! 10,000 a day. Get on it!!
