Winter! Holidays!
As a teenager coming of age in the DC area in the US, I remember winter time and snow days, when schools would be shut due to overwhelming snow and icing on the roads. Those were some of the best days! I remember playing outside in the soft, fluffy snow piled up to my knees or staying in and chatting on the computer.
Growing up, we did not see wintertime as an opportunity to go anywhere. To this day, when someone says "holidays" the only thing that comes to mind is the beach on a hot sunny day.
I'm changing that pattern with my young family and we are going to the snow in Canberra this year. I'll even try skiing! Wish me luck.
What about you? What were some winter holiday spots or traditions you had as a child?

Money 💰 it’s a beautiful creation that allows us ease, comfort and yes, connection with suppliers, clients through its exchange… yet, I hated it, rejected and pushed it away for a long time. The story I told myself is that money rewards machine-like coldness, efficiency, inhumanity and leads to commodification of natural resources and access to things that should be free, like water… land… shelter. It’s not money that creates this divide. It is the darkness and insecurity of trauma. I choose to relate to money in a respectful way, not squandering it, throwing it around aimlessly or refusing to invest in the things I truly believe in (like my personal and professional development). How is your relationship with money developing?

"The word “Liminal” comes from the Latin word Limen, meaning “threshold.” At liminal stages in life we are between roles, identities, relationships or ways of being. It’s a space of limbo and a time marked by waiting, patience, gestation and incubation. There is no real timeline for how long the liminal stage can last – it’s different for everyone and every circumstance. For some, it may be a few weeks, for others, a few months or longer. As life changes around us - as we move from one career to the next, one relationship to the next, or as we go through major illness or loss – we may come to realize we need a period of reflection in order to absorb all the changes around us, and that we deserve it."

Leave 🍁 where it’s dry… Don’t try to engage with those who aren’t prepared to dive to your depths. Stop. Moisturise :) let the leaf be a reminder to leave dry and fruitless places
