Monday morning we left Alice Springs on our 23 day Kimberley tour. We headed across the Tanami Rd, dropped in at the Yuendemu art centre, camped under a full moon with the dingoes, crossed into WA, visited Wolf Creek meteorite crater and last night camped out at Old Halls creek.

Well here we are in Alice. Since leaving Camooweal we traversed the Barkly highway then headed south through Tennant Creek. Finished off with a couple of great aboriginal art centers.
A fantastic trip during one of the best seasons in the Channel Country. So great to see everything so green.

Yesterday we left the big smoke of Mt Isa and headed to Camooweal. A great campground at the back of the pub. In the afternoon we ventured out to Camooweal Caves NP to explore this unusual area.

Last couple of days we have been on plan B and headed into Diamantina NP trying to dodge the rain that is coming. When we started this tour the Diamantina was still in flood here so we feel very lucky to have made it here and have the whole place to ourselves.
