Introducing Lavender Smoked Cask Single Malt Whisky, the fourth and final release in the Archie Rose Smoked Cask Series. Each of the four whiskies in this series has showcased a different natural ingredient through smoke, each offering its own unique character to the whisky.

Lavender Smoked Cask Single Malt Whisky offers a sweet and savoury combination of Tuscan lavender, smoked meats and cashews, delivering a sophisticated finale to the smoked-cask whisky collection.

As described by our Master Distiller Dave Withers, “Lavender is a really powerful aroma, so we balanced that with our native stringybark-smoked malt to offer robust smoke to balance that lavender perfume.” Truth be told, this is Dave’s favourite of the four whiskies in the series.

“I think this is a whisky people are going to want to come back to again and again, because it delivers so much on the concept. It’s up-front and bold, with plenty of that signature Archie Rose Aussie campfire smokiness, along with a dry and savoury palate and a meatiness in the background that offers structure and body - a perfect stage on which the lavender can perform.”

Linda Jackson is a pioneering Australian designer celebrated for her romantic, handcrafted garments that honour Australia’s landscape, history, and multicultural influences. Often collaborating with artists and Indigenous communities, her work is known for intricate detailing, natural fibres, and a deep respect for storytelling through textiles.

Jenny Kee is an iconic Australian fashion designer and artist known for her bold use of colour, native flora and fauna motifs, and expressive knitwear. Rising to prominence in the 1970s and 1980s, she helped define a distinctly Australian visual identity through her label ‘Flamingo Park’, blending art, fashion, and cultural storytelling.

We had the pleasure of chatting to both Jenny and Linda, describing how their artworks syncopate in this limited-edition label.

“Jenny's scarf was created for the NGA when it opened in the early 1980s, and Wildflower was created in the mid-1970s, so it’s incredible to see both artworks like this together in 2026.” - Jenny Kee

“The scarf [Oz Opal Scarf] is really a love letter to the Australian environment – all its colours and hues. Linda’s Wildflowers are also a love letter to the beautiful landscape, and when brought together they just sing. Welcoming our latest addition to our Creator Series: Australian Opal Gin, a vibrant, limited-edition release created in collaboration with the National Gallery of Australia.

Australian Opal Gin celebrates the pioneering work of Australian artists Jenny Kee and Linda Jackson, launching in commemoration of International Women’s Day, and in support of the National Gallery of Australia’s gender equality initiative, Know My Name.

This limited-edition label merges two of the artists' most famous pieces: Jenny Kee’s ‘Oz Opal Scarf’ and Linda Jackson’s ‘Wildflower Tunic’. Kee describes both artworks as “a love letter to the Australian environment”, and both are featured in the Know My Name exhibition. The name "Australian Opal Gin" was chosen specifically to honour the iridescent opal motifs that have recurred in both artists' work for years.

This gin offers a sophisticated nod to the Australian landscape with its classic dry profile, elevated by the inclusion of native Dorrigo pepperleaf, which provides a warm, savoury spice, and Sunrise lime for a bright, zesty citrus finish. Balanced with coriander seed, the result is a complex and bright spirit that mirrors the vibrancy of the artwork on the label.

Single Cask Whisky Batch #3 SM9917 Toasted Amber Single Malt is officially available now.

A spectacular union of malt, spirit and serendipity, this whisky epitomises the beauty found in rare single casks. Distilled from carefully selected toasted Australian amber malt, it was matured in an American oak ex-bourbon cask, resulting in a single malt whisky with an exceptional balance of sweet fruit and savoury malt.

The nose offers evocative aromas of sun-ripened passionfruit, cookies-and-cream ice cream, and jelly beans, while the palate delivers pineapple, cinnamon muffins, and Maltesers in a stunning display of rare quality.

This is an extremely limited drop, with only 280 bottles available.

Single Cask Whisky Batch #3 SM1231 Six Year Old Single Malt is available now.

This rare single cask of Single Malt Whisky has been matured in an Australian fortified wine (apera) cask for over six years. Hand-selected from thousands of thousands of casks for its bold, intense charm, this is also our first age-statement release. Having matured at a later stage than its sibling casks, it highlights the distinctive nature of this particular barrel.

It offers notes of dark chocolate-coated figs, raspberry jam, and pecan pie. The palate reveals flavours of French pastries, maple syrup, and a surprising flourish of floral elements.

“This six-year-old single cask represents a milestone for Archie Rose as our first-ever age-statement release. Hand-selected from tens of thousands of barrels as a superior expression of our whisky making, it highlights the character created by exceptional Australian grown malts and maturation in an Australian fortified wine cask over time.”
