A recent study suggests people with type 2 diabetes respond differently to GLP-1 medications, depending on what triggers their desire to eat.
Those driven by external cues like food advertising, smell or social events saw more significant weight loss and improved blood sugar levels than those who tend to eat in response to negative emotions.
It’s a powerful reminder that behaviour and emotions play a key role in health outcomes — and that some people may benefit from added psychological support alongside medical care.
