All ready to spend a rainy day indoors in the comfort of my pink pod.

After a six hour afternoon sleep on my mum’s bed, I took advantage of this evening’s cool breeze to stretch out on the back lawn.

My day so far.
Enjoyed the shade in a lovely green canopy, then the delightful sun, including resting my head in a pot containing a prickly euphorbia, and then decided curling up in my pod on Mummy’s bed was a good way to spend a few hours. Bliss!

This is what my mum likes to see - me eating well and hanging out in my hammock taking more interest in things.

I’ve been feeling very poorly this week. My mum took me to the vet on Tuesday and I had a very stressed reaction to blood being taken. Turns out I’m hyperthyroid. I haven’t wanted to eat all week and I have been very lethargic. Mum has been trying all sorts of titbits. A taste of an appetite stimulant (which I immediately spat out of course!) must have got me going because I’m now eating of my own accord - not much, but it’s a start.

On a hot day - now 35 degrees, there’s nothing like resting in the shade smelling the roses, sampling a few delectable petals - and stretching out to “help” Mum with her patchwork sewing.

Don’t worry - I’ve never caught a bird in my life, but I can dream.

My mother has really overdone it this year with the present wrapping. Playing in the tunnel made up for it though.

The coolest place to recline inside today.

These days, I tend to take it very easy, either resting in my pod or decorating the backyard. The jacaranda is flowering (and falling) very well this year, and as you can see, adding to my beauty.

After my long siesta, I felt like reading. James didn’t appreciate me walking on his book, so I lay down in front of him and he read to me.
