Super grateful to sneak in one last Christmas photo of my little man before he passed. Thank you to for setting up a Christmas backdrop at our last minute photoshoot which ended up being 3 weeks before Ref passed.

Jellybean learnt all of her posing for the camera skills from Ref who was such a pro at it!

Some photos from our photoshoot with ! I am super grateful Rachel could fit us in for a shoot at really short notice. We had the photos taken 3 weeks before Ref passed away but only 2 days after I found out Ref had an inoperable tumour in his mouth.

These photos are absolutely everything to me. Thank you Rachel for capturing these moments for me.

I love how every perfectly imperfect detail of Jellybean is captured in this image by Furtographer! Rach had a very specific idea in mind and I was more than happy for Jellybean to help bring that vision to life. And for Rach to then get a Silver award for it is amazing.

It’s awards season in the pet photography world!

2025 was my second year entering , and I am blown away that a panel of incredible photographers saw something in my work. It gives me the push to keep experimenting and growing.

This year, I really stepped it up. I created images with intention... specific dogs, specific locations, specific light. I wanted every photo to feel like it belonged to that moment, that dog, that story.

Jellybean is an albino pug, a rescue girl who is deeply loved and cared for by her mum. She’s a wonderful little soul, and I feel so lucky to be able to call on her when I have crazy ideas like this in mind!. I want to be clear, though, I don’t endorse or support the selective breeding of dogs to achieve certain physical traits. Every dog deserves to be celebrated for who they are, not what they look like.

This year’s competition saw over 4000 entries (3,000+ dogs, plus cats, horses, and all sorts of pets!). With such tough competition, not every image makes the cut. But I’m absolutely stoked that all 11 of my submissions received bronze or above.

Every year I enter, I feel like I’ve stretched myself a little further. And that’s what excites me most, it’s not about the medals, it’s about the journey of pushing creative boundaries, celebrating these amazing animals, and sharing their stories in ways that feel true and unique. 🩵🩷

Thanks so much to Charlotte and Craig from .ed for providing us a platform to grow, learn and excel. It's so beneficial and I LOVE seeing all the entries, not only from the winners and finalists, but from every person who shares their results. It's a wonderful world and I am so glad I get to contribute to it!

Happy 15th birthday to the number one man in my life!

I can’t believe Ref is 15 today. It feels like yesterday that I walked into the breeder’s home to pick out a male fawn pug puppy and instead picked this little guy. He was just 2 weeks old. And the best first pug ever. He is the one that completely changed my life. The reason I started writing about pugs. The reason I started a pug shop. The reason I became a full blown ! He has been the biggest constant presence in my life for the past 15 years. I love him more than words can express.

Happy birthday my lil’ old man!

Almost 15 and this lil’ man is still everything and more.

I can’t believe how close he is to being 15. Still has such a spring in his step for meal time. Always wanting to know where his mumma is. I even caught him running in the backyard when he realised I was home the other day.

2 years with this kid in my life. She has been everything I have needed this past year.

She has adjusted to the changes life has brought over the last 10 months when I haven’t been able to take her for her daily walks. She loves to still spot me as I walk around the house cause she knows I’m still not walking properly. She loves to check on Nan and make sure she is ok. And launch herself onto Nan every morning to make sure she is awake, getting disappointed when Nan is already out of bed.

She loves her squeaky balls. She has 4 of them but prefers one over another depending on which of the 4 we can actually find. Currently 2 are missing in the house. We have also ball proofed the house with pool noodles recently to save us having to continually retrieve the ball she is playing with cause she deliberately drops it under the lounge or tv unit.

She has learnt to troubleshoot her toy problems a lot over the past 10 months. She tries her hardest to get the ball herself before asking one of us to get it for her cause she knows it’s not easy for us to do these days.

She is a sweet, loving and caring psycho. She adores her brother, Nan and me. She is obsessed with kisses and ear rubs. She is not afraid to let you know what she wants and will happily whack you to let you know she wants under the blanket. She even tells Nan when she wants her to put the recliner up and use a blanket even if Nan doesn’t want to.
