We’re grandparents again! 🐾😻🐾

Another pregnant cat in our care gave birth to 4 beautiful babies yesterday.

All went smoothly over a 10 hour period. Yep. 10 hours. Mama Skye wasn’t in a hurry 😹

This isn’t her first litter, though.

Skye was found by a caring lady, dumped with her 3 kittens. This lovely lady rescued and cared for them until we had space available.

They are all safe, off the streets and with the care they deserve, including the new babies.

We can’t wait to see these 4 grow up 😻💕😻

What you don’t see behind the scenes:
🐱the initial panic-why is she panting? What’s her back leg doing up in the air? Why is she so chatty all of a sudden? All while purring like a 2-stroke 😁
🐱then, the tears of joy watching a kitten being born for the first time (some of us volunteers haven’t experienced it before)
🐱Bernard (our founder) staying up with Skye until 1:30am in case she needed help with another baby
🐱Bernard getting up at 4am to check on Skye and the babies to make sure they were ok
🐱cleaning Skye, giving her clean bedding, checking the temperature is just right for the babies, and feeding Skye a nutritious meal to keep her strength up

This is just one of the wonderful things we get to experience at Save A Pet Foundation.

Mum Sandy with her 10 day old babies.

Mum is looking very relaxed and content (and probably relieved it’s all over 😹).
The babies are starting to change colour. It looks like we have 5 tabbies and one black so far.

All are doing well. 😻 💕

Every cat in this reel was once unwanted, abandoned, scared, or fighting to survive.
Now they are safe, loved, and getting the second chance they always deserved.

Rescue is heartbreaking, exhausting, and beautiful all at once but moments like these remind us why we never stop , they all matter so much ❤️

New mama Sandy is a natural. Love her purring. Babies are 72 hours old.

On March 13, we were contacted about a friendly pregnant ginger girl living on the streets. A kind rescuer took her in, named her Sandy, and reached out to Save A Pet Foundation so she could receive proper care and eventually find a forever home.

Sandy arrived in our care on March 16 and quickly stole everyone’s hearts with her affectionate nature. As the weeks passed, her belly kept growing bigger and bigger, and we began joking that she must be hiding a whole cricket team in there!

On Tuesday evening, Sandy finally welcomed 6 healthy babies into the world — 5 tabbies and 1 black kitten. With Bernard by her side helping deliver them safely, Sandy remained calm, purring loudly while her babies latched on straight away.

She is proving to be a beautiful, loving mum, and we’re so grateful she was safe in care when her babies arrived. Congratulations, Sandy and Happy Mothers Day 🥹 ❤️

The cruelty beggars belief. A young mum and two kittens, dumped at Fairfield Vet Hospital in a carrier, with all zippers glued shut.

When we were asked to take them, we couldn’t say no. Backstories like this break our hearts.

They arrived this afternoon. Mum Olive is a friendly, affectionate girl. Her babies, a boy named Smoke and a girl named Pepper, are approx 8 weeks old and learning to trust humans.

They are safe now and will be well looked after until they are ready for adoption.

This tiny kitten was found completely alone on the streets, with no mum or siblings in sight. The kind person who found her did everything they could, reaching out to multiple rescues in the hope someone could step in and help.

We’re so grateful they didn’t give up because now, she is safe.

She is officially under the care of Save A Pet Foundation and settling into the shelter, where she will receive the love, warmth, and medical care she so desperately needs.

Forget double the trouble. What you get here is double the love. Poppy and Mounty will steal your heart with their cuteness and unconditional love. 😻🐾😻❤️

Currently in foster care, these 2 cuties are bonded and will only be adopted together.

Mounty is the quietly curious one, initially watching from a distance before making his move and asking for pats. He has a cheeky personality that he rewards you with when he gets to know you.

Poppy is the outgoing one. He loves to be a part of everything you do, and is a confident, happy kitten. He needed to have his left eye removed when he was 5 weeks old, but it hasn't slowed him down. He is a permanently happy kitty and gets excited about everything.

Poppy and Mounty are indoor-only kittens and would suit any household. They are both very active and play a lot, with each other as well as their foster carer.

If you’re interested in adopting Poppy and Mounty and would like to meet them, please complete the adoption application: https://saveapetfdn.com/pages/cat-kitten-adoption-application

Meet Frick and Frack.

Frick and his sister, Frack, lived in a cat colony in an industrial estate in Western Sydney. A caring person noticed an older cat bringing them to eat at the colony. At first, it looked like there was only one kitten because they had similar colouring. But after realising there were two siblings, their rescue became a priority.

They spent the first few weeks with a foster carer who helped them learn that they are safe and loved.

Frick is proving to be quite the outgoing boy. It didn’t take long for him to realise cuddles from a human were his favourite thing. He has a very sweet personality.

Frack's a little shy, but with patience and kindness from her foster carer, she discovered she loves sitting on a lap and snuggling up to her human.

They are both indoor-only kittens and would suit any household. They can be adopted separately or together.

Microchip No: Frick - 900164002387405, Frack - 900164002387406
DOB: 30 Dec 2025
Adoption fee: $270 each + free lifetime council registration.

Meet Sweetie.
She was rescued aged 8 weeks after the person who had her wanted to throw her out onto the streets, simply because she was a female.

Sweetie is a beautiful girl who loves to play with other kittens and people. She is a confident little girl with no ounce of shyness.

She can play all day, then will rest when she needs to. When she’s not playing, Sweetie likes plenty of attention.

Sweetie is an indoor-only kitten and would suit any household. She would be happy around young children, too.

Microchip No: 900164002387351
Adoption fee: $270 + free lifetime council registration.
Rehoming Org No: R251000287

We would love to see her find her forever home. If you'd like to meet Sweetie, please complete the Adoption Application to arrange a meet & greet:
