Things to note when thinking of getting a puppy from the Bully Umbrella ๐
Bull Terriers of all sorts should be
well socialized and obedience training
should start at an early age in order to
encourage a healthy and balanced
disposition in your dog โ๏ธ
Is your puppy biting on everything it can get itโs razor teeth around? ๐
1๏ธโฃ Remove all forbidden items and replace with a plush toy (redirection)
2๏ธโฃ Your puppy biting your finger is not cute! Donโt let them away with this as it will become a learned behaviour they will bring into adulthood
3๏ธโฃ Feed your puppy out of a Kong so they are engaged biting the toy and being rewarded at same time
โ Remember donโt set your puppy up for failure. Ensure there is no access to anything it could chew up and follow through on corrections!

โ if your dog is pulling while on the lead walk DO NOT let it off. This will reinforce bad habits and behaviour.
โ
walk with a loose lead. Don't ask your dog to sit, COMMAND and ensure they give you eye contact so you can be confident that your dog is calm and actively listening before being let off the lead to explore.

Did you know? ๐พ
Puppies begin teething at around 3 weeks and by approximately 6 weeks all of their teeth will have erupted. The incisors (at the front of the mouth) and the canine teeth (the fangs) erupt first, followed by the premolars. Dogs do not have any baby molars.
Here are 4 hacks to help you through your fur baby's teething period ๐ช๐ฝ
Aggressive or Playful? ๐
Reading a dogs body language will help you not only in training but in every day life. You can avoid confrontations with dogs who seem aggressive, apprehensive or nervous etc because you have read the body language from a distance and can react accordingly. This will ensure you are confident for your dog to interact with other dogs that display the correct body language and keep your dog safe.
Notice that the dog in the video is wagging her tail, putting her front legs down on ground and bouncing around which shows excited/happy behaviour. Now you can make an educated approach towards the dog as you have read the body language and see it poses no threat.
