Kanosuke Distillery is located along Fukiage Beach, which is rich in nature, and was opened in November 2017 by Kosho Jozo, which brews barrel- stored barley shochu “Merokozuru” and potato shochu “Kura no Shikon”.
KANOSUKE MADEIRA WINE CASK FINISH "Mellow Kozuru" Aged for 36 months after recharging barrels. It is then aged for 11 months in the barrels where the boual was aged.
The origin of the name “Kanosuke” comes from the 2nd generation Yoshinosuke Kosho, the creator of Merokozuru in 1957.
The whiskey will be aged for 11 months in February 2021 in barrels where Madeira Wine Bouar 2002 was aged. It has the sweetness and freshness of Madeira wine, with a solid oak aroma, hidden subtle acidity and an elegant sweetness
