I am an avid food fan who loves to create beautiful meals with fresh ingredients. I was born into a family of wonderful cooks.
My Nana and my Mother both excited me about food. My Mother had the most impact on me, learning her techniques at a young age when she would love to host dinner parties in our "Pool Room". This was the 70's and 80's and Fried Rice was popular along with Coquilles St Jaques, Apricot Chicken and Beef Stroganoff. Back then I did think it was a chore to cut up vegetables and help in the Kitchen, but I
learnt so much that I have now made food a passion of mine. Over the years I have self taught myself by watching a LOT of Cooking shows. I gained so much knowledge from Nigella Lawson, Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay. These days I am a massive fan of Matt Moran, Manu Feildel and Marco Pierre White. When my children were younger and at school age, I would still make gourmet dishes in the hope that they would love and enjoy food as much as me. My children now enjoy all the foods that I trialed on them including anchovies and olives, but they still baulk at Lambs Brains. :)
There has been a lot of trial and error over the years, and these days it's just myself and my husband, however I still love to cook something different every day. This is why I started this page, hoping that everyone out there doesn't think it is too late to begin cooking and making beautiful healthy food to be proud of.
