Thank you Savourlife for donating regular pallet loads of food to the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge for the dogs. To all of us who volunteer and love our rescue dogs this message below is for you β€οΈ
5 dogs made it to the Pack Walk at Ewen Maddock Dam. The rain held off - π€ΈββοΈ
Watch to the end to see all the smiling faces (human and dog) in the photos πΈ π
We welcomed 2 new dogs - Murphy and Deja π , both adopted, who are lovely stable dogs and helped a couple of our more reactive dogs settle into their grove.
The sit down and chat at the end is as important as the walk, to help the dogs and humans relax in a group setting πβ€οΈ
We look forward to seeing everyone at the next pack walk in June at Glasshouse Mountains.

Dates are set for the next two pack walks in May and June.
Get your cameras ready for some great photo opportunities.
When is a SIT not a SIT (as the dog knows it)
When you change the picture
Add variety to where you practice your SIT.
Here we are seated - like in a cafe and teaching the dog to stay seated whilst you get up and sit back down.
Six dogs (some reactive) enjoying a pack walk at Golden Beach β±οΈ

Rex suffers terribly with storm fear.
No medication regime has broken the fear cycle
Now he's afraid of the rain .... that might bring a storm.
No storm today..... only rain, but the response is the same πͺ
In Southeast Queensland we have the most severe storms in Australia
Recall can be taught using ....
The WORD.... COME
The LEAD.... tap, tap, tap
The MOVEMENT.... you walk away
The REWARD.... food or toy for a good job π
