Absolutely thrilled with how the past 12 months have gone for my jockeys. Early in this season I will look to spread my services into NSW and look to bring on more power to what is already a very strong group of jockeys.

Milky Rocket

A 3yo Chestnut C**t, just bought by Luke Miller and Sarah Robbins. Luke is taking out a dual license so he’ll be able to ride and train. Also having Sarah by his side who used to train up at Darwin, her most notable horse being Lord Smedley who won 3 races in a row and over $160,000 in his career thus far.

If anyone is interested in buying shares in Milky Rocket, I’ll tag them both in the comments so you can get more information. I believe they can get the best out of this horse.

My name is Tom Ackerman and l‘m also a jockey Manager and I’ll be using this page to thank connections, post my jockeys rides and advertise my jockeys.

My jockeys are Luke Miller, Greg Walters and Sarah Robbins when she returns to riding.

I just want to say a huge congratulations to Greg for riding a Provincial winner at the Gold Coast on Saturday. Jungle Blaze opened at $34 and Greg gave him an absolute peach of a ride. Massive congratulations to Doug and Darleen Duryea. This horse has a bright future. Greg has ridden 3 winners in his last 7 rides.

I also want to congratulate Luke, he puts in the hard yards and isn’t afraid to travel. Luke rode 2 winners this weekend out of 9 rides. One of them being ‘Gillick’s Way’ at Cunnamulla today at $16. Congratulations to Peter Townsend and family. He also just got beaten on Piracy in the Battle Of the Bush which he’s finding hard to swallow. Thanks to Craig Smith for the ride, so close!

Both Tom, Rob Davidson and myself took a massive risk when purchasing this mare. There wasn’t a lot to go off when we first came across her, but it was an opportunity we couldn’t refuse. It wasn’t long and she was on a float up here from Gippsland Victoria. Although there was some pleasing signs early on, we struggled to get any weight on her. A couple of preparations later and today she picked up her second win from 11 starts. We continue to pinch ourselves as we continue this amazing ride that our girl ‘Peaches’ is taking us on. On top of that we have been able to bring in more owners to share this ride with. The racing bug has the potential to bite us all and win lose or draw in the future, this girl will be forever indented in our memories ❤️

I do understand what they are trying to do, but as much as they are helping the industry they are also killing the grassroots at the same time. Is it such a bad idea to have all of the country races on Melbourne Cup Day at Randwick. The Big Dance and The Kosciuszko on the same day. The crowd will still pack in as it’s Melbourne Cup day, the turnover will be better. Somehow limit the big ones to country trained horses only. The meeting doesn’t have to be massive, put a few highways/midways in there or maybe a couple of races for Metro trainers/horses only. The racing in Sydney on Melbourne Cup day is pretty poor anyways, just an another idea I guess. Maybe cap the meeting to 6 races and kick it all off after the Melbourne Cup is run 🤷‍♂️

Success is measured when you reach your final destination, the end. If you try and hit 100% straight away, you are going to miss the important parts along the way. Take small 1% steps in the right direction and you will get to where you’re going. My idols, Greg Ryan and James Ackerman gave their all in life and in their profession. One retired a champion, the other died a legend ✊✊
