We are looking for a qualified skilled tradesman to join our team located on the Sunshine Coast.

Service area is between Gympie to North Brisbane (occasionally further but only 1-2 overnight stays with accommodation and meals paid for).

We do insurance and renovation work. Roofing and painting experience is a bonus.

Above award wages and incentives depending on skill set and work ethic.

ABOUT US

The Way Building Group is a small, growing family-owned construction company, based in the
Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
We specialise in all aspects of carpentry including renovations, insurance work and new builds.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking people who possess:
* Previous experience in similar role
* Ability to follow instructions and also think on your feet for day to day site activities
* Construction industry white/blue safety induction
* Own vehicle (preferably a Ute) and valid drivers licence
* Own hand/power tools
* Positive attitude towards safety

Qualified Carpenter/multi-skilled tradesperson:* Trade qualifications (minimum Cert III in Carpentry or other relevant trade)
* Ability to read and interpret plans/drawings

It would be great if you also have:
* Current ‘Working at Heights’ ticket
* Current ‘Elevated Work Platform’ ticket

WHAT WE OFFER

* Hourly rate will vary depending on experience + overtime + travel allowances
* Local work in the Sunshine Coast/North Brisbane region

* Monday to Friday 38 hours per week, plus occasional overtime available

Hail damage is a common occurrence in South East Queensland.

It’s important to contact your insurance company to arrange an assessment of your roof no matter the size of the hail.

Unrepaired roof damage and quickly turn into leaks causing further damage such as mould, wood rot and electrical issues.

Obvious signs of damage can be seen by inspecting guttering, downpipes, fascia and decking for cracks or dents. Damage from smaller hail can be difficult to detect, so it’s important you ensure a thorough inspection is carried out by your insurance company.
