I’m thrilled to be part of Connections: Time, Texture, Pattern, an exhibition showcasing the work of over 50 graduating UniSC Design students across digital culture, visual communication, screen, game design, and interactive media. This multi-sensory experience includes immersive installations, photography, illustrations, experimental video art, soundscapes, and augmented reality.

Developing the Danielle Ramsay Brand

The journey of defining the Danielle Ramsay brand began with exploring how to represent a multidisciplinary creative with a unique blend of bold artistry and strategic thinking. I developed brand words that represent my creative personality and approach; words like Creative, Playful, Thoughtful, and Multidisciplinary. These formed a foundation for my brand identity.

From there, I crafted a brand personality that mirrors my ✨ neurodivergent ✨ perspective: vibrant and explorative, balanced and refined, professional touch, and a little bit crazy. It's a wild mix! The challenge was to capture both the playful and professional sides, ensuring the brand felt approachable and representative of myself as a creative.

The colour palette is a mix of warmth, strength, and creativity. Sand is professional and adds warmth while Lavendar is a nod to creativity. The mix creates a brand visual identity that’s professional, yet creative.

As a whole, the brand strategy informed the visual identity, resulting in a brand that is both cohesive and representative of my creative journey. We've all suffered from the dreaded Imposter Syndrome and we need a strong, supportive community to thrive 🙌

New Look, Same Creative Spirit ✨

Over the past year, I've been on a journey to find harmony between my bold, expressive art and my strategic design work. I used to think I had to separate them to keep things 'professional'—but it turns out, they’re even more powerful together.

After diving deep into my brand strategy, the Danielle Ramsay identity (Artist, Designer + Strategist) came to life. Branding yourself isn’t easy. It takes trial, error, and a whole lot of soul-searching. But this time, it just clicked 🙌.
