Likeable Creative

Some of the Likeable team went to the Nova ‘Upfronts’ today where the audio network announced its new shows and platforms. Comedian Joel Creasy kicked off the proceedings with some hilarious stand-up and set the tone for a very slick presentation at the Art Gallery of WA.

Likeable Creative's Carolyn Mooney and Malcolm MacLean attended the IN:WA inaugural Independent's Day conference at 300 Acres yesterday. We are proud members of IN:WA, the association for WA-owned independent creative businesses. The keynote speaker was Dr Marcus Tan, founder of HealthEngine and other startup enterprises. We also had Taryn Marcus facilitating a workshop on how to ‘Kill the Company’, plus a great Q&A session with the State Government's new Creative WA representatives, Nikki Milner and Marty Cunningham. Well done to Fiona Cornelisse for keeping things moving and being such a great MC. Congratulations also to the IN:WA team for running such a great event.

Some fresh work for Mobile Crisis Constructions:

Likeable Creative and Mobile Crisis Constructions launch “Weapons Of Mass Construction” Likeable Creative has worked with Mobile Crisis Constructions to create a bold new campaign to highlight the humanitarian charity’s important work in disaster recovery.

Likeable Creative's Charmaine was appointed to the judging panel to choose the prize winners at the TAFE Design Graduates Show in December, including the coveted AGDA Best of Show Award. Charmaine served as Vice Chair of the Australian Graphic Designers Association (WA) last year. Likeable Creative proudly supports our industry associations, including IN:WA, PADC, AGDA and WAMA.

Pragma Lawyers was a foundation client of Likeable Creative and it's always a pleasure to attend the annual Pragma Christmas Party. On a perfect night at the Art Gallery of WA rooftop, Pragma's Founding Partner, Aaron McDonald, presented the year's highlights with some good humour. Likeable Creative is very proud to have been alongside Pragma on its journey from one lawyer in a small Subiaco office to the 59-people-strong firm they are today.

The Business News “Rich List” magazine came out this week, detailing Western Australia’s 100 wealthiest individuals. What better place to take an advertisement for MercyCare to talk about the community services they offer to WA’s most vulnerable people? We created this thought-provoking ad to encourage Perth’s richest to donate to MercyCare and help Perth’s neediest.

Four of our team attended the WAMA "Great Debate" event this morning and we were delighted to find ourselves in premium seating in front of the lectern! Thank you to Rene LeMerle, Kelly-Anne Davis and the rest of the Committee for making us feel so welcome. The debate topic was "Is the traditional agency model dead?" and there were some hilarious cases for and against. Well done to the panelists.

Repping Likeable this morning were: Malcolm, Ross, Dani, and Mark. We were the champions at eating all the breakfast items, and Dani took home the door prize.

Malcolm and Mark from Likeable Creative attended the "Collaboration Effect" industry event, hosted by Perth Advertising and Design Club (PADC) in partnership with Media Tonic.

The guest keynote speaker Dan Krigstein, Director of News Corp's Growth Intelligence Centre in Sydney, kicked things off by sharing how creativity and media can work hand in hand to drive success. He also offered powerful insights into how aligning creativity, media, and context can amplify campaign effectiveness.

A panel discussion then brought together respected voices from across the industry, spanning client, creative, strategy, and media perspectives. Hosted by René Migliore (PADC Patron), the panel included Vici Richardson (Head of Brand and Growth at HBF Health), Paige English (Head of Perth at Initiative Media), and Dav Tabeshfar (freelance creative).
