It was an absolute pleasure to pop into Agooneree at Baden Powell Park in Samford this week to see hundreds of scouts working together and giving 50 young people with disability a week to remember! They were having an incredible time doing it.
Well done to Tim Mander MP - State Member for Everton, investing in scouts and being a good sport testing out the absailing tower!

Council is seeking feedback on the proposed renaming of Elsie Crane park, Ocean View, to Brian and Elsie Crane Park.

The proposal recognises the shared historical connection of Brian and Elsie Crane to the land and their contributions to the Dayboro and Ocean View communities.

The park was originally named in honour of Elsie Crane. The proposed amendment would retain this recognition while also acknowledging Brian Crane’s contribution to the local area.

It was very fun getting into some heal-and-toe and some Nutbush City at the Samford Riding for the Disabled fundraising Hoedown! Thank you to the tireless team who brought it to life and Beefa's Bush Bandwho put on a great show!

People come from far and wide to access the support and community RDA provides whether they are volunteers or participants. It’s a great privilege to have this organisation in Division 11.

Stay tuned for the grand opening celebration for the new accessible toilets and changing place council has recently built on site!

🔥 Planned Burn – Brian Burke Reserve, Samford

City of Moreton Bay is planning a 25-hectare burn at Brian Burke Reserve this Thursday, weather and conditions permitting.

Residents in and around Samford and Cedar Creek may notice smoke in the area during and following the burn.

Planned burns help reduce bushfire risk and support the ongoing management of our local reserves.

Please take care if you’re travelling through the area, particularly if smoke affects visibility. 🌿🔥
