Disability does not define a person’s potential. πŸ’™

Every individual has strengths, goals, talents, and dreams. Inclusion starts when we focus on abilities, not limitations.

Look at moi, look at moiiiiii. A bit of huffy puffy (exercise) is noice, different and keeps your heart healthy. ❀️

Finding time to work on your physical fitness is one of the best things you can do for your heart and your overall health. By making it work a little harder, you can cut your risk of heart disease by 33%.

It can be as simple as doing everyday things like gardening, shopping and walking to more structured sports and activities. As long as you're moving regularly, darl, that's a good start.

It's recommended that adults:
πŸ’ƒ do 30 minutes or more of moderate-intensity physical activity, five or more days per week
πŸ’ͺ be active on all or most days of the week, with some muscle-strengthening activities on at least two days each week.

Learn more about how some huffy puffy can benefit your heart health. πŸ‘‡

If you've never exercised or you're not used to physical activity, we recommend that you check with your doctor before starting. Ask them for a heart health check to make sure you're in tip-top shape to start some power walking, Kath-and-Kel-style.

πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ You’ll now find hoists at:

πŸ“ Bribie Island Aquatic Leisure Centre
πŸ“ Redcliffe War Memorial Pool

Accessibility is more than ramps and parking spaces.

It’s communication, understanding, opportunity, respect, and creating environments where everyone can participate equally. πŸ’™
