On Monday morning, the Early Learner children were very lucky to have had some visitors.
The Kindy children from the ELC were on a walk through the community and decided to pop in and say hello on their way to the Steam Roller Park.

It was lovely to see the Kindy children, many of whom attended the ITC not that long ago!

Team Building!

We recently gathered as a team for some team building and headed back to the Adventure Rooms in Adelaide City… and let's just say, we had a few very competitive staff on our hands!

From solving clues and cracking codes to plenty of laughs (and a little friendly rivalry), it was a fantastic night spent strengthening our teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills outside of the workplace.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along.

Your child will spend thousands of hours with their educators. So who they learn from truly matters. πŸ’™

Meet Alicia 8 years at The Ranges, and still just as passionate as day one. What started as a teaching placement turned into a career built on connection, care, and community. That's the kind of team your child deserves to grow up around.

When educators stay, children thrive. 🌱

From clay caterpillars to sandpit adventures what a week it's been in Pre-Kindy!

Our little ones have been busy creating, exploring, and learning in the most beautiful ways. This week they sculpted clay caterpillars, dived into Child Protection learning through stories and puppets, and filled every moment with counting, painting, construction, and imaginative play.

Watching them grow with so much curiosity and joy is exactly why we do what we do. πŸ’›

Sometimes the best way to know is to simply walk through the door. πŸšͺπŸ’›

Sarah spent weeks researching childcare online but one visit to The Ranges changed everything. That feeling of warmth, care, and connection? You can't find that in a Google review.

If you're still searching for the right place for your little one, come see it for yourself. No pressure. No commitment. Just a warm welcome and a chance to feel the difference.

✨ Turning curiosity into learning!

This week, our Early Learners were fascinated by the trucks working nearby.

Through observation, hands-on play, and a visit to see the trucks in action, the children explored, questioned, and discovered together.

Back at the centre, they continued their learning through imaginative play, creating tracks, recreating truck movements, and sharing their ideas with friends.

It's amazing to see how children's interests can lead to meaningful learning experiences every day!

Our chef is a Ranges parent.

That's not a marketing line β€” it's the reason our food is different.

When they designed the menu, they asked the same question any of us would: "Would I actually want my child eating this?"

The answer shaped everything.

At The Ranges, we spend three times more than the industry average per child, per day on food β€” and that's not by accident.

It's a conscious values-based decision.
Seasonal ingredients. Meals made from scratch. Fresh, nourishing food prepared with care. No shortcuts.

Because we believe the food children eat every day matters.

β€”

We'd love to know: what's one meal you'd want your child to eat every day if they could? Drop it in the comments πŸ‘‡

In the Kurraka group we asked the children if they'd like photos of themselves eating to put up on the walls in our dining room. The children agreed and so we started a tradition of photos of the children using their utensils on the walls, showing how capable the children are with their utensils and eating independently.

To add to this, we have started using glasses of water on quieter days where children are invited to pour out their own water to drink from a glass. We encourage them to pour a small amount and be mindful of where they then place their glass down on the table while eating.

Seeing their photos on the wall of them eating with their utensils has become a talking point for the children, with many discussing how they are eating, using their spoons/forks and what they were eating in the photos. The jugs of water has seen an increase in the children's water intake and shows how capable the children are at turn taking, coordination and fine motor control.

Yesterday the Kindy children went on an excursion in our local area. We walked all the way to Streamroller Park where we enjoyed a snack and a big play on the playground. During our journey we saw the oval were we had Sport’s Day, stopped at the Old Woolworths site to watch some of the construction vehicles and we popped in to say hello to the Early Learner children at Little Ranges.

On the way back children were eager to wave at all the cars passing by with many people waving back and beeping their horns which lit up the children’s faces.
